I have a Saturn that he was able to get to running better than it did 10 years ago. He is honest and I trust him. He stands by his work and I recommend him to everyone.

Took car in for oil leak.  Dropped off on Thurs night.  Called the next day at 2pm.  Was told they were just pulling the car in.  Not call back.  Called back on Sat morning.  Was told they were just pulling the car in. UGH!  Was told the oil pan seal was leaking.  Had the seal replaced.  Still leaked.  Had it replaced again.  Was advised the oil pan was warped from engine heat.  Still leaked.  Took it to another shop.  Was told the oil pan had been overtightened so much that the gasket was pushed out.  In addition, the majority of the leak was from the cam and crankshaft seals leaking into the timing belt cover.  Required new seals, new gasket on the oil pan, and new timing belt.  Strongly suggest when having timing belt replaced, also replace engine seals.

I recently bought a used car and was going to take a trip, so thought I would get it checked over.  The brakes felt a little "lumpy", so I had them checked thoroughly.  The tech indicated the brake pads only had about 25% life left in them, and that the rotors were quite worn.  After discussing whether to have the rotors resurfaced versus replacing them outright, and replacing the pads, I decided to go ahead with the new pads and rotors.  I'm very happy with the work done; the difference in braking was very noticable, and now I'm good to go for some time.  The price included their coupon which provided significant savings.  Fawzi's staff was very professional, accommodating and quick.  I will definitely use them again, and will recommend them to others.

When I brought in my second car, Fawzi automatically honored the coupon that I had submitted for the first one. After they worked on my 11 year old minivan, the gas mileage improved by 10%.  He always delivered the cars when promised. Fawzi is the owner of the shop, and one day when I came in he was sweeping the floor while his mechanics worked on cars.  Another morning I noticed a small error in his signage, and the next day when I came in he had already corrected it. These two incidents just seem completely characteristic of how he tries to pay attention and take care of everything about the business.

Perhaps this problem has been acknowledged and remedied by now. I certainly hope so as It seems a shame, with good, reliable and resonably-priced shops being scarce, that the downfall of this shop - from one discerning customer's standpoint at least - would be due to pinching pennies on the cost of repair parts. My feeling on this point is why I chose "Fair" and "Good" for the Quality and Professionalism categories, respectively. I would have been glad to have paid the difference in parts cost (maybe $15?) to have been COMPLETELY satisfied.PS:  Although I checked "No" for "Would you use this company/individual again in the future," I might if I were persuaded that their parts quality is now more consistently good.

He inspected the tire and found a construction bolt embedded in the tire. He asked if I'd driven near construction anywhere and indeed, that is happening in my neighborhood. He removed the bolt, plugged the tire and inflated it for me. He was the kindest man and I was surprised and pleased when he said "no charge"! It is important to him that his customers are happy and he communicates clearly about needs for service. We've experienced that with him when using his service for prior auto needs in the past. He's just a great guy and I can't recommend him highly enough.

I have been going to Fawzi's for about 7 years now and I have always been satisfied with their high quality service, professionalism, reasonable prices, helpfulness and friendliness. They always go out of their way to be helpful and explain what's going on with our car and they don't mind our questions. They'd much prefer to educate you and help you maintain your car well rather than than make more money repairing preventable problems. I recommend them without reservation.

I had been to Fawzi's several times and liked them at first -- they were polite and I was happy with the small service tasks they did, like oil changes. Then we brought the car in for an oil change and also asked them to take a look at what the car needed to run well for the next year. Well, from a $20 change all of a sudden we were quoted a $1500 service. They persuaded us all this work was needed and, because we always took good care of our car, agreed to get it done. Immediately after the service, though, our gas mileage dropped by almost 20% and brakes, which they did some work on, started giving us trouble for the first time ever within weeks of the service. When I called to ask what may be wrong, they were very polite but essentially completely dismissed my concerns. We took the car elsewhere where we realized we were overcharged for all labor, and moreover Fawzi's didn't do the repairs properly. We are still trying to get the car into the shape it was before this service. Granted, all this may have been a fluke or bad luck but $1,500 is a lot of money to bet on a mechanic.

Went in on a Saturday late morning, after having my car sitting all day on Friday at another place that 'never got to it'. I left my car there, figuring it would be a while. Fawzi called me with an EXTREMELY reasonable estimate within 45 minutes. I had also found a coupon on-line (on their website) for a free oil change with over $100 worth of work (there are others there too). The entire process took 1 hour and 45 minutes on what looked like a pretty busy morning. The waiting area was clean and Fawzi and the mechanic who called me were professional, yet friendly. He thanked me for my business as I was leaving. Even though it is a bit of a drive from where I live, I would definitely use their services again.
