Car looks like new! Work was done on time and Dusty's provided a loaner car at no cost - was great and made the process all the easier.

Overall it was an awesome experience. We were recommended to come here for an appraisal through our insurance and after a great phone conversation with a receptionist, we decided to leave it there for repairs. Everyone from the receptionist to the person who managed our "case" was very helpful and prompt with returning phone calls, keeping us updated on the progress, and helping to complete the entire car. We were back, up and running in less than a week. They took care of everything with insurance directly and it was an incredibly seamless process.

There was a lot of confusion and delay in getting the right part to fix the mirror. Once it was obtained, though, they did a wonderful job. Their price was VERY good, and they did extra service they didn't need to for free.

They did a and quot;pop outand quot; of our front bumper which was damaged by a new driver in the family. We did not want to claim this repair through insurance. They offered us an affordable option and did the work quickly. It looks so much better! Just a few weeks later, we were back in to have some scratches polished out of the side of our car. With a teenaged driver in the family, we'll be putting Dusty's Collision on speed dial!

The front end was damaged when the car struck a concrete column. The repair work was so excellent that the car looked like new once again.

I was searching Angie's list to find a shop for some body work I needed done. When checking out both Dusty's Collision and Whitney's Collision I noticed that their websites seem very similar. Upon further checking they are almost identical. OK - Maybe they are all owned/managed by the same group. This I can understand. What I really did not like was under their testimonials section there were identical testimonials from a Lucy W. Braun but one refers to her bring her car to Dusty's, the second to Whitney's. I am really leery of anyplace that would resort to something like this, so I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Dear Chris,
Thank you so much for the excellent service you provided me when I brought my '99 Honda Odyssey in last month for repairs. In addition to the fine work you did on my car, you were also very responsive to me under difficult circumstances. I especially appreciated your loaning me a car while mine was being repaired. I have an active family with three young children, and being without a car for several weeks would have been very challenging. You really helped minimize the burden on me and my family.
Several months ago, I brought my car in to Dusty's to get an estimate for fixing a large dent in my bumper, and you did a partial repair on the spot and free of charge. I said that if I ever needed to have repairs done, I'd bring my car back to Dusty's. I'm glad I did. I'll pass along my favorable opinion of Dusty's to friends in need of repairs. Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Lucy W. Braun

Auto Body Work, Auto Painting
On Friday, I gave a call to see the status. I was told it would be ready to pick up around 4:45PM. Then, around 4:30, as I was about ready to leave I received another call. Turns out it was taking them longer than expected to put back together my car, and it wouldn't be ready until Monday. No Big Deal, I understand.
I call on Monday. Turns out they had the wrong part for the plates under the doors and had to order the correct part, which they were expecting that afternoon. I finally picked it up right near close of business on Monday, Aug 1st. On my drive home, I realize that my auto-up function of the drivers side door doesn't work. In addition, the only way I can adjust my mirrors is and quot;downand quot;, since the mirror switch was re-installed wrong. Great. Give them a call, drop my car off again, and wait for it to be repaired. They had to order a new mirror switch, so it was in there for a few days.
I picked it up again on Aug 3rd. I get home and decide to actually go over my car to make sure nothing else is wrong. It is then that I discover that on the plastic rocker molding, they didn't put a clip in so it's loose. Inside the door, there are rubber grommets missing that should cover some holes. I also notice that the chrome piece below my window, it appears when they took it off they set it on something and let it get scratched to h*** and back. Additionally, the paint on the passenger door was put on too thick, so it was rubbing against the driver door and causing scratches on both doors. Below the drivers door, there was still some accident damage which should have been repaired.
Honestly, at this point I was fuming. I waited until the 5th to call, since I was still really upset at the workmanship. I left a message for the person I had been working with, since he was out of town. He gets back with me on August 8th and I explain to him my frustrations with the quality of work, the problems I've had, and how I expected better from Dusty's. I drive my car over to show him and either another manager or one of the owners my concerns. After looking over the car, he agrees with everything I've pointed out and even points out a few other issues with the paint. I agree to drop it off the next day, Aug 9th, so they can take care of all these issues.
I receive a call on the 18th saying it's ready, so I go to pick it up. When I pick it up, they tell me they were not able to fix the chrome piece below the door because MINI has it on backorder, suggesting that it's due to a quality issue (which is true) and that MINI will end up replacing all the pieces anyway. This slightly annoys me, since they should have told this to me over the phone, not telling me everything is fixed and it's ready to pick up. The saga continues. I noticed that the door was slightly hard to close when I got back to work and discover that the door is mounted slightly off and hitting the weather stripping - already causing it to tear. I call, again, and speak with a manager, and immediately bring the car back over. They fix that issue and order a replacement weather strip.
A week or so later, I receive a call saying the weather strip replacement is in and to schedule a time to get it replaced. We agree on the morning of August 31st. I take it in, wait, and eventually I am told that they can not find the replacement weather strip. They say it was there last night, but now isn't where it should be and they looked all over. Rather than wasting more of my day, they say they'll order another one and/or continue to look for the strip and give me a call.
On Friday, Sept 2nd I receive a call stating they found it and to give them a ring next week to schedule a time. I call on the 7th and am told the replacement chrome piece also arrived, so we agree on the morning of Sept 8th. Finally, the issues are resolved.
While the issues were resolved, I am EXTREMELY unhappy with the quality of work at Dusty's. There are still minor issues I have decided to live with at this point, but they all point to carelessness during work. I haven't even mentioned that I had to spend 2-3+ hours cleaning every surface of the car due to a thin coating of red dust from them sanding the first paint attempt down. The ONLY good thing is their front office is VERY friendly.

Auto Body Work
Our very old trusty car got hit one day and the metal above the read left wheel got pushed in, making it grind against the wheel. Because it was difficult to drive, we stopped at a nearest auto repair service where they told us it would be $300 to hammer the metal away from the wheel, and several days. I said no way and drove to Dusty's. They took a look at it, and without any paperwork or delay pulled the metal out away from the wheel, free of charge. We could drive it but wanted it to look better. So we returned to Dusty's and asked for an estimate, explaining that we didn't want it perfect just better. Again, their mechanic took whatever implement it is that they use, and pulled the metal some more, making it functionally great and not painful to look at. And they did it again immediately, on the spot, and free of charge. I called them at a different time once, and found the woman on the phone very pleasant and helpful. To finish, I don't know whether they do a perfect job fixing a car to make it look like new again, but my impression was that they do a good service and not try to rip you off --- which, to me, is a lot.

Dusty's was very quick to give an estimate and did all of the work with my insurance company, which was very reassuring. The work ended up being about 2500 more than estimated (had I been paying for it myself, I would not have been happy), and the work took five weeks!. They did give me a loaner car for the last week, when the funding for my rental car ran out. I think the quality of the workmanship was excellent (you can't see any blemishes in the paint - despite the unusual color of my car), but I was surprised at how long I was without a car.

My car was towed there after hours on a Tuesday. I called on Wednesday to see when they'd be able to look at it. They told me someone would call that afternoon. No one called. I called back on Thursday and they told me that no one could look at it until Friday. Friday they called me back and gave me a rough total estimate of 10 days for the work once they got the parts order in (Monday). This would have meant they had my car for a total of 2.5 weeks. I called them on Tuesday of the second week and they said things were still on schedule to be finished on Friday. Then I got a call the next day telling me that everything was done and that I could go pick up my car. I picked it up and it looked beautiful. They did an excellent job on the paint and when I drove it there was no evidence (to me at least) that it had been in an accident.
