COUNTRYSIDE LAWN & GARDEN EQUIPMENT

I have a small garden tiller made by Cub Cadet.  It worked great at first use, but then it wouldn't start and the pull-cord wasn't engaging.  I figured the spring broke even though it was brand new.  When I took it to Countryside, the guy explained the different things that could go wrong on the pull-start and said he would have his guys look at it.  When I went back to pick it up, he said the dogs on the starter were catching from dirt and debris.  It was a design flaw.  I imagine the dogs are plastic like on a washing machine.  He had one of the mechanics come out and show me what to do if it happens again.  It was as easy as wiggling a screwdriver in it and a shot of WD40.  In general, the shop was spotless, well-stocked, and everyone was friendly.  I am telling my friends to take their lawn equipment there for service.

The best part was that they didn't even charge me. I was thrilled with what they did.

These guys successfully diagnosed the problem the first time, rebuilt the carb (which I figured was the problem), and cleaned it up. It ran great all great all summer. In the late summer I put a new blade on it., and soon after it started making some rattling noises. I took it in and they discovered a problem with the way I mounted the new blade, and adjusted it for me on the spot for free. Also pointed out an oil leak, but applied no pressure for me to fix it right then and there. I'll take it in this fall for that.

Fine - One mower (brand new) had a problem that turned out to be a warranty problem, had to wait for spare parts. Countryside handled getting it paid for under warranty even though I didn't buy the mower there. Upon arriving home, found that both mowers had minor problems they didn't have when I took them in. Countryside came out to the house and took care of it -- they really made it right, and all equipment works perfectly now.
