Arbor Insulation

Arbor Insulation (Rob) was on time for the estimate (March 1st). I had, already, had two other contractors out so I was aware of the issues in the attic. Rob only mentioned that the insulation was insufficient as were the baffles. He did look at the soffits on the outside of the house. He said he would email me a quote by Monday the 5th. The final contractor that I had come to give me a quote (and hired), arrived after Rob and was exceptionally thorough in his explanation of the issues in the attic. The quote from Arbor Insulation arrived in my email on March 14th (9 days after he said he would email it). Arbor Insulation's quote covered only a portion of the work that needed to be done and was for $2300 more than I paid for the work (which I had done on March 8th). They quoted for removal of old insulation, air sealing, new baffles and bringing insulation up to R-49. The work I had, completed (and was VERY HAPPY WITH) included all new soffits, new baffles, an attic fan, correcting all 3 bathroom exhaust fans, mildew removal, insulating our spa, bringing insulation up to R-60.
