Very prompt and completed job in one day. Have a long downhill drive and large turn around. Incline/slope perfect to assure proper drainage/run off of rain water and no water puddling near house. Great job and very reasonable price

The entire process was very smooth. Estimate was given and we accepted. They were a bit busy at the time of estimate, but kept in touch to set date to begin work. They came out when they said they would, and finished quickly. The driveway looks great. They will come out to seal after winter.

Ann Arbor Asphalt & Concrete (I'll call them AAA) did a fantastic job resurfacing my 20y old driveway. We purchased this home with the knowledge that this work would need to be done, and had a quote from one other company who suggested that the "only" way to repair it was to remove all of the old blacktop and replace it. We have a huge driveway. It's on a corner lot, and the driveway enters from both streets on the corner, connects like a half-moon at the house, and extends along one side of the home where the garage is. It's a LOT of driveway. I tried to get three other companies to provide quotes, but only AAA called me back. Not only that, but AAA quickly made arrangements to meet with me and discuss the job, and they provided two different quotes. One was for a complete tear-down and re-do, the other was for application of 2" topcoat of new blacktop with a binder between the old and new materials. The cost of the complete rebuild was more than double the topcoat, and the AAA guy told me that he thought our driveway was an excellent candidate for topcoat. I respected that instead of trying to sell me more, instead he confided that if it was his driveway, he'd go with the cheaper topcoat. We agreed to get my driveway in his fall schedule, and that he'd call me back in a month or so. Well, a week later he called and told me that he had an unexpected opening in his schedule the next day and asked if I would like to take it. There was absolutely no pressure to take the early install, but I was happy to take advantage of it. They showed up the next day at mid-day, as planned, and got the entire job done. They used a machine to add the new driveway and there was a huge crew of workers doing the labor, supervised by the owner of the company. The driveway looks fantastic now--absolutely better than new. In addition to the top coat covering, they added about 4" of blacktop at a low spot where the driveway meets the garage to correct for a huge "bump" into the garage. They got the blacktop flush with adjoining front and side porch sidewalks too, and everything looks fantastic. I would definitely recommend Ann Arbor Asphalt & Concrete for any asphalt job. With the professionalism they have demonstrated, I think it's safe to say that they'd do just as good of a job with concrete too, though I have no direct experience with that.

Ann Arbor Asphalt did an excellent job of repaving for us. They were organized about giving an estimate & doing the work. The owner was directly involved & gave us good advice about what had to be done & why. There were lower bids for quicker fixes, but this job was done right & will last. They are a long-time Ann Arbor business & it shows in the quality of their work. Highly recommended!

Response was a little slow, but worth the wait. Tom is the owner and prides himself on personally supervising every job -- and has been working asphalt since he was a child. My job was tricky -- I wanted to remediate a drainage issue -- and most companies refused to quote or wanted me to take the responsibility of the drainage and grading necessary to solve the problem. Tom came out, understood the problem and engineered the appropriate solution for the job. While we were in the middle of the job we discovered other drainage issues. What impressed me was that I did not realize the impact of these issues and based on my response he could have ignored them. Instead he took extra time and had his crew dig out a big section of defective drain tile and fix it.
I noticed some divets in the new driveway after a couple of weeks -- again he was a little slow but came out in November to completely fix these.
He clearly has the respect of his crew, and they have been with him for a long time. After everything I ended up with a great quality job, at a reasonable price. I would recommend Tom and Ann Arbor Asphalt to anyone, but particularly to anyone who has a difficult job requiring creative engineering. He is a character but truly is the and quot;asphalt whispererand quot;.

They came a day early which was a surprise, but worked fast and hard to get it almost completed. They did return the next day to finish and do some touch up on the sides. Over all they did everything we asked them to do. We would be happy to hire them again if needed.

It was not the greatest experience. The people that did the estimate were friendly and professional. The people that did the asphalt work, we had issues with them. We had a hard time getting them scheduled. When it came to pay for the work, we had some questions and he was very irate. We had given him a deposit. I had to have my boss talk to him. We just wanted to make sure of the charges. He lacked professionalism. We did have questions about the work and never got any answers. The price was excellent. We are not happy with him and there was no follow through. He literally almost had me in tears. We would not use them again.

They did an excellent job. They were professional, polite, thorough and nice. The driveway looks great and I would highly recommend them.

They were very courteous and prompt. They completed the job on time and did a good job.

They did a good job on my driveway except there is a depressed area about 6 feet in diameter and about 3/8 inch deep and collects water and ice in the water. I have tried to call the company several times and when they see my number they don't answer.
