Terrible. Our driveway is about 100 feet long. It's a single car width. Our garage is a 2 car garage. The problems we had when the snow plow truck came out, he pulled in, stopped at the front of the garage, and backed out. He plowed it in a way where the left side of the 2 car garage was blocked, so we could not get our car out. Our side door leading out of the garage was also blocked. Additionally, all of the snow that was removed from the driveway was pushed onto the left and right side of our approach into the street. We wouldn't have been able to turn in and out of the street without great difficulty. We called to inform him of the situation, and he became very upset and aggressive, and yelled at my wife. We obviously ended up firing him. He said that there would be no refund. His mailing flyer said, "We accept full or partial payments, which are contractual for the entire season, and are non-refundable." Bottom line is he's saying it's OK to perform substandard work, and not rectify an issue with a homeowner if something goes wrong, and then he keeps the money. He also thinks it's OK to be verbally abusive on the phone, and that is absolutely not OK.

They are taking care of an unoccupied home that we own and I'm never out there. They have probably made one or two visits. We haven't had a lot of snow so far this season. We had snow a couple of weeks ago and they came out a couple of times. They haven't needed to come out again since then. I have only used them for half of a season, and it's been a light snow, so I can't even tell how good they are doing. I'll have to wait till spring to see how much damage they have done. It's a one man operation with one or two drivers, that's my impression. They do what they're supposed to do, it's a difficult job usually done in darkness, and it's hard to avoid ripping up some lawn. We have a big driveway. They do what they say they are going to do and they charge a fair price. They aren't cheap and they're not terribly expensive. I asked him to bid on the job, he came right out, and gave us a quote. The first snow they were out there, I haven't seen much of them because, I'm not occupying the home where they are working. I'm not there when they are there but, they came out with the first snowfall.

We have been a customer of Vanden Bout Snow & Lawn Inc. for the past 38 years.  He has provided the following services: lawn fertilization, spring clean up, tree trimming, light landscaping, grub control, weed control, pruning & hedging, mulch/bark/stones, fall clean up and snow plowing.  We pay a monthly fee to cover all of these services.  Ken Vanden Bout is very customer service oriented and goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction!  He returns phone calls promptly and provides additional lawn services as needed.  We would highly recommend Vanden Bout for any lawn or snow services.  Thirty-eight years as a client certainly says something good about Ken and his company!

The service I received was great!  Every time it would snow 2" or more, my driveway would be done before I went to work in the morning. I'm a single female, and it was a treat for me to have my driveway plowed this winter.  I'll do the same next time too.

Called for a fall clean up, estimate was good.  Came with a couple of people and was done in 1 hour.  A lot of leaves on my
property and looked great when i came home.  Disposed all leaves.

THEY ARE AN AVERAGE COMPANY. THEY DO THE WORK BUT I BELIEVE IT COULD'VE DONE IT BETTER BUT IT COULD'VE ALSO BEEN DONE WORSE. MY LAWN DOESN'T LOOK AS GREEN AND HEALTHY AS IT SHOULD BE.

THIS IS OUR FOURTH YEAR DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN RESPONSIVE AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEIR WORK IS IMMACULATE AND I AM VERY MUCH SATISFIED WITH THEIR BUSINESS.
