Weinkauf Plumbing & Heating is an HVAC and plumbing contractor. We've been proudly serving the Alpena community and surrounding areas since 1959. Weinkauf offers all the heating and cooling products you need to keep your home or business comfortable: furnaces, air-conditioning units, humidifiers, and air filtration systems. We install new systems for homeowners and businesses – everything from water heaters, sump pumps and toilets to gas piping and backflow devices. We provide plumbing repair services and troubleshooting to minimize interruptions. We are proud to say that we service all existing products as well as what we sell and install. Our stocked service vans are ready to accomplish your plumbing, heating and cooling repairs.

Terrible service.. quoted a price for one installed for one installer they sent two… Sent out to installers charged and charged us for two installers.. We had a leak due to their faulty installation… when they came back to repair it… They charged us for their error..

I don't know anything about water heaters. Literally, nothing except they heat water. Mine was leaking at my duplex. I called a few plumbers. Weinkauf answered immediately, took the time to explain options, and handled the repair quickly and professionally. Will def use again. Tx.

When we were selling our home in Alpena, we discovered that the hot water heater needed to be upgraded and brought up to code, it was the original one that came with the home and had been there for 30+ years. When we discovered that we needed to replace the bathroom flooring, due to renter not reporting a leak, Weinkauf recommended a wonderful carpenter who gave us an estimate for replacing the floor, putting down new tile and redoing the toilet to prevent future leaks/damages. The results were top notch both by the carpenter and Weinkauf and the price was below what was estimate. We were so thrilled with the carpenter that we had him replace the bathroom window as well.
When we moved to our home in Ossineke in 2008, we had to have both the furnace and hot water heater replaced at the same time. The estimate, work done and final costs were all as had been stated in came in well below the $5,000 that was originally estimated. The hot water heater and furnace had to be brought up out of a Michigan basement to meet new housing codes and a floor had to be redone to support the new furnace and hot water heater. All was done and we are extremely pleased.
