Will be recommending them.
We moved everything away from the walls prior to the workers arriving. The workers were on time and very professional. They explained everything they were doing. They brought in two crews instead of one so the work was completed in one day instead of the original estimate of two days. Their clean up at the end of the day was very thorough. There were no problems at all during the prcess. They applied their process to three of four basement walls covering a length of about 110 feet. The cost was exactly as estimated and there were no suprises.
After repainting the walls look great! It is not obvious at first glance that work was done on them. It has been six months since the work was done and I see no signs of any cracking or shifting on the walls. The works comes with a 25 year guarantee. I highly recommend them.
They were able to schedule the work within two weeks, and the whole job took two days. They were very professional. Closed off the area in the basement where they were working, and used fans to remove dust to the outside. As they were tearing out the old system, Blair was able to show me and explain why the old system wasn't working. He pointed out material that were used that were wrong for the job, and aspects of the previous work that were poorly done.
All of the people who participated were very professional and seemed to take pride in the work they were doing. I was really happy with the way their concrete people finished the floor. It is very smooth and even with the existing floor.
I would not hesitate to use them again if needed and would recommend their services to anyone.
Update 6/3/11: The rainy season resulted in a return of the leaking problem from last year. Smith's has returned to inject additional waterproofing to resolve the problem however the leak is still present after a hard rain. Smith's has honored their contract and have stated they will continue to troubleshoot until the leak is resolved.
