May 2014
Auto Detailing Service
We had used Dun Gud for both of our vehicles (F-150 was the other) in the spring of 2012 and 2013 and they had done a very good job. In 2014 they offered us a reduced price on the Malibu because we "were such good customers".
The car was done by the promised time in 2014, and the interior looked good (B+). The exterior had smeared wax streaks along the trim (in the cracks and grooves), and there were spots on the exterior surface that the owner called "sap spots". These spots were not here when we took the car in, and there are no trees on the property under which the car could have been parked. He did a spot "redo" and quickly removed the spots.
There was a dent in the drivers door (we did that) that had some white paint rub off in it, and the paint was still there after he completed the job. We mentioned it to him upon pickup, and he applied a little wax and rubbed the spot out in about 20 seconds.
The jobs in the previous 2 years were very good over all (A-), but it just appeared he did a fast and sloppy job this year. He does detail all the used cars for our local Ford dealer, and they speak highly of and reccommend him. I'm guessing he had a lot of cars to do that day, and did a hurried job on ours.
I'd have him do our car again, but I'd mention that we were not happy with the 2014 job--we let him know this before we drove away this year.
