Amazingly well. Phil and his crew were prompt, curteous, and extremely professional. They enlarged the opening for the garage attic access and installed a new ladder. They brought the right tools and put all the finishing touches on. Cleaned up the jobsite better than they found it. I highly reccomend.

The entire job was not inspected. I was never asked if I wanted the job inspected. I just assumed that the job was going to be inspected because of the complexity of the project. 1. TUB ISSUES a. The tub motor was shorted out and had to replace (whirlpool tub). The reason for the short out was because of the power supply that was put in by the builder/electrician; was not properly done. Refer to photos. b. Used the tub 5 times; all in which the tub leaked to the downstairs level. Refer to photos. c. The electrical setup was hanging from the wall, and water coming down on the electrical outlet; possibly causing a fire. Refer to photos. d. Leaking issues; builder/plumber came out. Said it was because the whirlpool was splashing water. After they mentioned that, I made sure that water did not come out of the tub. Once again, water downstairs. Refer to photos. e. I removed the tub myself, taking it back to Home Depot. Builder did not offer to assist in any way and only offered to plug up a whole downstairs by the plumbing. BATHTUB FAUCET COST a. Builders estimate of standalone bathtub faucet was $650. Refer to photo. b. Second estimate was $895 from plumber. Requested to builder that I would like a less expensive faucet if possible. He said that he would check. Refer to photo. c.. Requested a cost of the faucet via email from builder. I ended up paying $1,140. Was not told about the increase of price, was expecting if anything...a lower cost. Refer to word document.
Description of Work: REMODEL OF 2 BATHROOMS Making one bathroom larger, and the other one smaller. Bathrooms were side by side. In addition, installed stand alone tub, shower, 2 toilets, cabinetry and tiled the floors.

Response from His Builder LLC
The job in question was completed in July 2015. At the time of completion, HIS Builder had completed the scope of work which was agreed to per the original job proposal signed by both parties. The issues the client has brought up are mostly due to the free-standing whirlpool tub that was purchased by the client. The client claims the tub would leak each time it was used. Although HIS Builder did not purchase the item, and therefore does not warranty said item, we sent our plumber out three times to resolve the issue. The plumber filled the tub, stood in it while running the jets to mimic someone bathing, and drained it all without finding any water leaks to the basement. The plumbing work he completed was all correct and without defect. the only potential issue we can speculate is that there is a defect within the plumbing in the whirlpool tub which might leak, although we saw no evidence of that on the three occasions we were there to resolve the issue. As far as the tub faucet is concerned, the $650 allowance was for a tub mounted unit. After the project was under way, the client clarified that they would like a floor mounted faucet unit which are typically more costly. When the client had difficulty finding a faucet that was within the budget, I was asked to find one. The plumber found two models, one for $885 and one for $1140. There weren't any options within the original budget guideline. At this time in the project, the client was also requesting that the work be completed in time for a family function in early July. A decision had to be made to meet the deadline so I told the plumber to install the more expensive faucet since it matched the vanity faucets in that bathroom. The client agreed to it at the time and did not ask what the cost was. No temporary faucet was installed. A temporary was discussed because we thought that the ordered unit might not make it in time for the deadline. It arrived just in time and was installed. Furthermore, at the completion of the project in July, there was no mention of the faucet needing to be replaced or changed. It was only in October 2015 when the client decided to change the tub design that the client asked about the faucet cost. Also, the client requested some additional work to be completed above and beyond the original scope of work. This extra work amounted to $2514.80 in costs added to the original estimate of $21,768 for a total invoice of $24,282 (Not $46,500 as the client has stated in the complaint). The client objected to paying for these additions even though there was a signed proposal obligating her to do so. We ended up settling on the client paying $22,656, which is a discount of $1,626.13. It was only at the time that the client decided she no longer cared for the tub unit that she purchased that my work was questioned. I do not feel I should be responsible for a change of heart as far as design is concerned nor should I be required to warranty a tub unit that I did not purchase. I have done more than what is within reason to make this client happy. I feel the client has received quality work for an equitable price.
