Yikes! Take this review as a warning. If you have an important deadline like an appraisal do not trust work to complete on time, even he says his schedule is clear and he'll complete days in advance. Do not trust Chris with a deposit. He may not show up the next day and will work at his leisure if at all. - I was pursued by Chris to do some painting at my place and assured it would be done days before a critical deadline (initially I was going to wait until after the critical deadline to get the painting done), starting from the first day they did not show up when Chris said they would if they showed up at all. It is now over a month later and the work is still not done. - After assuring me that they had nothing else scheduled Chris took other work during time he was suppose to be working on my job despite the fact that they were clearly running very behind. The work was not done on time even after I removed a one day add on project from the table. I pushed back my critical engagement as late in the day as I could (impacting the schedules of multiple people) and Chris assured me that the work would be done by then, however, it wasn't. No one showed up that day because Chris took another job. - A couple of to be fair comments: 1. It did drizzle a couple of days, however, there were a couple of days margin in the deadline that the work (not including the one day add on) needed to be done by - not even one coat of paint was done by the deadline. The work could have easily been done by the deadline despite the drizzle if Chris had just shown up when he said he would. 2. After seeing the color that Chris recommended when they started painting I changed the color back to the color I originally wanted and covered the cost of the one-gallon paint in the color I didn't like that was wasted. Chris assured me that no time would be lost since barely any painting was done and they were doing two coats and the color that I wanted would cover the first color. I ran to the store to get the paint that he told me to get myself to increase efficiency. - I was shocked how although it seemed like Chris was trying to come across as a nice guy, he would say one thing one moment and the opposite the next especially when he needed an excuse. Lying or blowing me off with a crooked smile does not make it better. I was always professional and if anything pleading in my communications, however he didn't care and even left me a frustrated voicemail expressing reasons for the delay that had nothing. The job is still not done and they have more money than work completed is worth.
Description of Work: I hired to paint exterior of my house. They put one coat on and left project unfinished. I gave $600 deposit.
