We have had Roger out here two summers in a row for central air issues and unlike another larger company in the area, he did not try and sell us on a new unit but found and fixed the issue affordably. They have my trust when it comes to heating and cooling.
Description of Work: Fix our central air unit which stopped working.

+ -1 moreThe serviceman came, but he called ahead of time to let us know that. We really appreciated that. We wanted to know how soon we would probably need a new furnace. We trust Roger Bouwkamp because he tells us what exactly we need. A few years ago, two other companies told us we needed a new furnace because ours was supposedly on its last leg. Roger came out and discouraged us from doing anything more than a slight tweak to our furnace when he could have tried to sell us a new furnace and air conditioner. We think that Bouwkamp will not try to push anything on us that we don't need. That's worth a lot right there. In addition, he didn't act rushed -- that is, he gave us the time that was needed and answered all our questions.
Description of Work: The provider checked the condition of our furnace and ensured that it would most likely make it through the winter. Our furnace was still working satisfactorily.

Description of Work: The service man showed up on time, I was his first call. He checked out my furnace/thermostat. Checked the humidifier on the furnace, but I had already replace the filter. He suggested I use a different furnace filter because the filters I had made the blower work a little harder and they didn't clean the air any better then his filters. I bought 12 from him for less per filter then what I paid at Costco.

+ -1 moreDuring an annual furnace inspection, I was told by a tech that my heat exchanger was cracked and I needed a new furnace. My friend recommended I obtain a second opinion from Roger w/ Bouwkamp Heating. I am very detail oriented and asked Roger lots of questions. Roger took the time to carefully answer them. He proceeded to ask me some questions and as he prudentally listened to my answers, he provided an alternative. He informed me that my heat exchanger was still under warranty. This suprised me given the age of my furance. He proposed to replace it and charge me labor only. Given the good condition of my furance, he recommended repairing it when he could have made more money by selling me a new one. I strongly recommend Roger because he truly made me feel like my needs were most important, even thought it cost him money in the short-term.

+ -1 moreThey did a great job. There was some special problem and they went an extra mile to do the work. The price was not that great.
Description of Work: I used Bouwkamp Heating & Cooling to get a new furnace put in. They sent a couple of guys here to put it together and they also had to make some adjustments with the duct work.
