The crew showed up about 6 weeks later than first talked about. The job lasted 2 weeks. Nobody from the crew was on the job site when I returned home from work which made communications difficult. I arrived home at 3:30 in the afternoon and the crew was gone for the day. It would appear they worked 7 hour days which in my opinion is inefficient. The crew never used tarps to catch debris or protect the home. Debris that could be raked and shoveled was promptly removed and discarded but small debris including nails were left behind. Two window screens were damaged and one vinyl window was marred. Drip edge was installed without attention to detail creating a needless seam and a gap in one corner. One side of the roof was completely covered in and quot;Ice And Water Shieldand quot; which I did not want because the finished attic space is not well ventilated. I had them install a ridge vent at extra expense to me. The house roof includes 2 skylights. I was told after they roofed around the larger skylight that they would not and quot;fullyand quot; guarantee it because it is not the proper skylight for an inclined roof. I thought nothing of it because it had not been a problem.
Two weeks after the job was complete and paid for I noticed the seams on the rubber roof blistering and lifting, some of the asphalt shingles on the ridge of the roof were cracked and there was a leak around a skylight. They responded by E-Mail promptly but took 5 weeks to show up. They added a sloppy layer of caulking to the seam in the rubber roof, filled the cracks in the asphalt shingles with sealant and placed some sealant in one corner around the skylight. They then sent an E-Mail telling me I'm all set. Well, the seam in the rubber roof looks awful and is still lifting, the cracked shingles should have been replaced, and the skylight still leaks. The skylight leaked the first time it rained. It seems that not and quot;fullyand quot; guaranteeing something means they don't guarantee it at all.
