We needed an outdoor outlet installed to run our pool pump. We called Kaplan Electric in Winthrop. They came out within a few days, gave us an estimate on how much the work would be, and told us what we could do ourselves to save money. The technician was back out within a week, giving us time to dig a trench and bury the post, and completed the work within the estimate amount he had given us. He was very friendly, professional, and did a great job on the outlet. We would definitely recommend Kaplan to anyone and will use them again the next time we need electrical work done.

I dealt with foreman Ryan Tracy who was professional, timely and thorough. In a world where people in general and construction people in particular do not do what they say they will, Ryan made and kept his appointment and completed the job quickly and efficiently. The job took slightly longer than he estimated but only because there were unanticipated obstructions encountered when running the line. Ryan and his assistant, Gus, performed well and cleaned up after themselves leaving nothing for me to do but plug in and go to work. I would use Kaplan again again and recommend them to anyone.

Since Maine experienced hurricane Irene shortly after I received my first estimate, I opted to be on the last of Kaplan Electric's list of things to do since I had electricity while those other people out there with no electricity were, I felt, an emergency and I could wait. Steve Kaplan made sure to keep me posted on when they could get to me and they did fit me in here and there. Steve and his brother Dan came over and did most of the initial work and were very nice and cleaned up after themselves, which was VERY nice indeed! When it came to the last couple of things to do, Steve and Dan came with the 2 men who finished the work and left them here to handle what needed to get done. Craig Chick and Duane Dubois got to work immediately and finished what was started and also cleaned up after themselves and were out of here in no time. All in all, a very pleasant experience with true professionals who were not only well trained, they were nice people to be around. In such a small community as Winthrop, there seems to be a very high rate of professional attitude within the small businesses who choose to locate here.
