Provider was contracted to fix the plumbing so that it is working in the home. Plumber left after being paid but failed to fix several leaks. Home was flooded as a result. He promised to return or send out a contractor by 11pm, but no one ever showed. After calling several times (he would not answer) I emailed him. He told me I would have to get a lawyer for him to finish the job. Peter Hayes (owner) knew we could only remain on the job site for a few days, as I am in the military. Job still incomplete and we are unable to move into the home until it is fixed. We had to stay in the home without water for 4 days. It took hours for the flooding to be cleaned up and it ruined the insulation in the home. There are at least 4 major leaks in the home, possibly more (I will have to get another plumber to look at it in the spring, after court proceedings). DO NOT USE PETER HAYES OR PBL HOME IMPROVEMENTS FOR ANYTHING! They also left cigarette butts all over the house....under the sinks and in my plants! There is a burn mark under the bathroom sink. If I had known this was going to happen, he would not have gotten one red cent. He thinks that just because I live out of state he can get away with stealing $2000 and causing damage. Peter Hayes, PBL Home Improvements, LLC is located at 1 Marcoux St, Winslow, ME. He signed a written contract, so I am hoping to recoup some of my expenses. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! No doubt he will close the business and start it under another name.
