Prior to selling his yard-cleaning business to do landscaping primarily; Jared would clean out my yard every spring and fall. I'd try to help ahead of his visits as my property was previously vacant and I felt badly. Despite blowing out the yard, he'd leave mulch and gravel strewn across the lawn I'd have to cleanup anyway. Six years later (2022), I requested a quote for a fieldstone patio and finishing a brick patio. I requested the quotes be split, but was otherwise ready to go. He only had one employee, but was hoping to do the jobs in July. I offered to work for him if it would help his new business (and to earn a little extra money on the side as I enjoyed landscaping); though was fine if not. I never heard from him again. I followed up several times over the year without any reply. He only replied when I noted I'd write a poor review. His only excuse was being busy, falling through the cracks. Prior yrs of business, reviews, & good will for his new business clearly meant nothing

I found Jarod through Angie's List and he responded quickly to my e-mail. He is knowledgable and professional. I wanted a patio to connect my driveway to the front door but I had a serious problem with rainwater leaking into my basement and garage from this area. Jarod had previous experience with water abatement and I am so glad that I hired him. Mother Nature didn't provide a good downpour until after Jarod's work was done and all paid, but he quickly answered my call and came over to make an adjustment. I have had a dry basement and garage ever since - and there have been several good downpours to test it. Jarod is very ethical and professional and he takes pride in his work.
I had lots of input and ideas for Jarod and he actually listened to me. As well as the patio I wanted the steps on the other side of the house redone and a way to connect everything together. He is very creative and came up with beautiful ideas to tie all the different areas together. I now have a patio that connects to beautiful, unique granite stone edging, which connects to cobble stone edging, which connects to my new granite steps on the other side of the house. A photo would be better as it's hard to explain here, but trust me my yard is transformed. I've had many compliments from neighbors and family. I am very satisfied. I highly recommend J Hall Landscaping and I would hire Jarod again.

Jarod is very responsive. He met with us on site, gave his recommendations and opinions (all excellent). He provided us with a quote by the next day and began work the following week. His work is excellent and at a very reasonable price! For the past 2 years he has done all our property maintenance and I look forward to many more years of service with him and J. Hall Landscaping.
