Auto Service
I purchased a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero at Lee Auto Mall in approximately 2005. I had nothing but problems with this vehicle. I called multiple times to get the vehicle repaired/looked at and each time there was something new and different wrong with it. I was spending monthly more in repairs than I was in car payments.
I had become pregnant in 2007 and decided that I could not drive around a baby, or a pregnant me in this vehicle any longer. I complained to the BBB and the Attorney General of Maine in regards to Lee Auto Mall. After speaking with Adam Lee (who is no where near nice, professional or courteous) he agreed to give me basically what I had paid for the car, minus mileage I had put on it; which I was very pleased with.
They put me in a used 2006 or 2007 Isuzu SUV that I had never heard of but it was clean, had a decent Car Facts report and was told to me that an older woman owned it and was downsizing. It had leather interior, high safety rating and was in very good shape; or so I thought. I had the vehicle for 3 days, yes, 3 days. It started making this horrid noise! I brought it to the dealer and told them to fix it. That I had just traded in a piece of crap car and that this was supposed to be a great, reliable, safe vehicle for me. The following day they called me and told me, "we think we have fixed the issue". The female on the line told me that I should come pick up the vehicle, "test drive it and see how it goes". I went to pick up the vehicle and not 5 miles down the road; the noise started up again.
I called the Used Car Garage portion of the service center and spoke with the manager there. I had told him that this was insane, that the salesman that had sold me the Isuzu had bragged about how well their company was doing and how many cars they had sold that month (which he informed me had broken company records). Yet, this vehicle was not reliable. The manager states, "well I know there are axel problems; but we really can't fix those." I said, excuse me, axel problems? He said that the axel was bent and that's where the noise was coming from. I hung up with him after telling him that I would be turning around and bringing the vehicle back.
I told the sales dept that they could either take the vehicle and scratch the loan and just call it a wash, or put me in a brand new vehicle with a really good deal.
The ended up putting me in a 2007 PT Cruiser; which sucked...I traded that in at a local dealer about 2 years later and have never been happier with the purchase from Rowe Ford Westbrook.
STAY AWAY FROM LEE AUTO MALL!!! Their slogan is, "We never forget whose driving" I always add, "We never forget whose driving, we just don't give a %%$^&"
Will never do business with them ever again and I tell everyone looking for a new car never to go to them!
