Chase (Josh Chase and his team) was wonderful from start to finish. They were not the fastest at getting the job completed and that is exactly what we were looking for - someone to get the job done perfectly. They delivered. We asked them to take all the pine trim on our home off and replace it with composite so we would not have to replace it. This included window trim, soffets (sp) door trim, garage door trim. EVERYTHING - it turned out just as we had asked them to do. Matt was wonderful as was everyone else that helped on this project.

Chase worked quickly and around my schedule. They communicated with me nearly everyday what was happening on site, and I couldn't have asked for a smoother process. Extremely happy with the end results.

After contract and $20,000 deposit paid and big promises made, they became very unprofessional and rude. It took 8 months to "complete" work. Dead River informed me that their propane work to kitchen was not to code and instead of fixing it John Chase himself told me to hire someone else to bring it up to code. I had to hire separate company to purchase and install countertop yet he still expects me too pay him for counter install! Work not complete and he he already talking lean! He also tried to bill me after floating laminate flooring was installed and included on contract.

John Chase(Owner) and Bill Noone (President) met with us to discuss building our new home. Let's just say it was the very definition of (Over Promise Under Deliver). John and Bill are smooth salesman. They said and promised all the right things. My favorites are "Here is my cell phone number, call me anytime, Day or Night"(John and Bill) and "I am going to work on it all weekend, I will have something for you first thing Monday morning" (Bill). The second one happened 4 times!!!!! I provided Bill with plans to our house. They provided us with a spec sheet. Unfortunately that was the "bait". The "switch" part came as we tried to get a contract. After 4 weeks of "I am going to work on it all weekend..., and numerous phone calls (too many to count) not returned the final numbers came in $25K over budget and $30K worth of downgrades on the house. For example, our Trex deck was now treated lumber, our future basement bathroom was not stubbed in, our windows package was downgraded from trapezoidal windows to rectangle.... to name a few. We wasted 4.5 weeks with these guys. If they didn't want to build the house why not just say so. Why delay and under communicate for 4 weeks, just to submit us a contract that they knew we would never accept. Bill Noone should be selling used cars!!!! He would fit right in! Bottom Line- The only way Chase is building you a house is if they can take you to the cleaners. As soon as they saw that wasn't going to happen they lost interest in this project in a hurry. And then they didn't have the guts to say so!! Instead they strung us along for an entire month. I cannot put into words, how strongly I believe that you should avoid the "Chase Used Car Lot"!!

Not well. Chase's program is set up that they buy the land, and design and build the home. We had paid a significant deposit and the house plans were almost finalized. We (and our realtor) had told our Chase representative repeatedly to buy the land, as we were worried we would lose it. Our first offer was refused by the seller. When Chase finally put in our full-price offer, we were told that the lot had sold that morning. On the positive side, when we said we would no longer work with them, our deposit was quickly refunded.

We are upset because during the construction they broke the window lock, the cellar drain box cover was broke because when they went to pour the concrete, they stepped on it and broke it.  The french doors were splatter with concrete.  They splashed paint and mud on the siding.  They broke two corners on the kitchen window and above the bathroom window, and one in the basement near the french doors.  There is broken siding around the exhaust fan around the furnace.  They left a pile of silicon on the hardwood floors.  There is sheet rock that is broken.  The carpets were never stapled down, it is lose. The studs on the toilet mount are longer than they are supposed to be, they were never cut. He used leverage over my head threatening to repossess my home if I did not get financing in 14 days.  He was also going to charge me interest.

The quote came in lower than the other few people we contacted (those that were even interested in a small siding job) and Eric provided us with great customer service. The job was small since it was only one wall, but we were very happy with the attention and professionalism we received. There was a signed contract involved and no payment was expected until after the job was finished. The final price was as quoted. It did take a few weeks for them to fit us into their schedule, but worth the wait.
