John Barker of Casco Bay Chimney arrived next day after both my calls. He laid down tarps in front of the fireplace to keep the floor clean, and proceeded to do the cleaning. He was very friendly and courteous, and reasonably priced.
The second time I called him i needed the metal door on the bottom of the fireplace replaced because it was broken. This was the door that you sweep the ashes into, and can then retrieve down in the basement. He had to order that part, but I did not have to wait long until he got the part and made the repair.
Both jobs were completed efficiently and in quick order.
