About us
A Master Electrician with over 30 years experience with Industrial, Commercial, and Residential applications including installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical wiring systems and equipment. We do all work with maintenance and future expansion considerations as a priority. We use the National Electrical code as a minimum standard and usually exceed the code requirements with an installation that will provide years of safe and reliable operation with room to expand if necessary.

Marsh River traveled over an hour to come out to my house to redo my electrical from the panel to the pole, put the wires underground (because they were not before) put a new electrical box and meter on the pole. Did a great job and knew exactly what they were doing! Just a side note: I thought the reason the outlets on the back wall of my room didn’t work was because of mice eating our wires. Whoever did the electric before must not have done it correctly because the outlets are now working!

"They had been down a few days when we showed up apparently the contractor who replaced the pole could not replace or repair the meter disconnect. The meter was marginal but old and the disconnect was rusted and the breaker was inoperable or at least not able to be opened . If the pole would have been set even 1 foot closer to the house the feeders would have been long enough to make up in the new panel however it was not so we had to run a new service feeders from the meter disconnect to the house. We didn.t have a backhoe available so we hand dug a trench to the house about 25 feet and ran 1 1/2 pvc conduit for the feeder cable."

Hank and Ray did a great job updating some wiring as well as installing lights and sockets for a bath/bedroom renovation in our farmhouse in mid coast Maine. They responded quickly, were on time when they said they would arrive, work was professional, and pricing very reasonable for two days work. It was a welcome response in working with someone “off peninsula” who actually takes customer service and responsiveness seriously. Will definitely use them again!

OK. He only worked for about a half hour and charged me $100 so I thought it was very expensive for what it was. I could have done it myself but I wanted a Master Electrician to check the lines.

"That was my minimum service call charge to show up with my helper ready to do troubleshooting and or repairs on a commercial type request. If you check prices you will find that mine are comparable to most other electrical licensened contractors in the area for commercial work. HDR"

Hank was a life-saver! We needed an estimate to do the job while negotiating the price of the house. Hank understood the urgency, was right there, and produced a very accurate estimate for a job of uncertain parameters. We closed on the house, and continued to live 1.5 hours away while Hank did the work on the house - he had to make many decisions himself, and all were the right ones. He did the job with as little damage to walls/ceilings as humanly possible due to forethought and expertise. We moved in, and the most frequent comment as we got settled was "How 'bout Hank? That is exactly where the outlet should be!" or "we didn't think of that, but Hank did!" A true professional, knowledgeable and thoughtful, respectful of old houses - we highly recommend Marsh River Electrical!

"We were concerned about doing damage to this old but very unique old home. almost all the lighting and receptacles were powered by 2 knob and tube circuits that literally went all through the house. We started downstairs and worked the up to the first floor then went to the attic and worked down to the second floor. All balloon framing so we managed to sneak several circuits up to the attic and work down. Thanks for the Review !"

Todd did great work for us. This was at a summer house, and he was very responsive and flexible in terms of getting in to do the work when it fit our schedule. Good communication - kept us informed of what/when he was doing the work. All around he was great to work with.

"Replaced 200 amp panel at beach house on Popham Beach. Existing panel was deterioated beyond repair and replacement breakers were going to be very expensive. So we went with 200 amp homeline panel 40/80 with plenty of spaces for future expansion ect."
