Stone and Gravel Service
I went with a big company hoping their experience and quality would be better than average. I was not disappointed. They provided a quality product, graded the slope of the driveway away from the garage ( the garage is level with the road thanks to the builders of the garage, another story), and used a big roller to compact it. They did a great job with big equipment and about 4 men it took about 2 hours to complete. I used the left over gravel to redo the walkway to the garage door myself. The price was high but the compaction was worth it. I had a big truck deliver firewood and he didn't do more than scuff the surface a bit. With no more snow plows it should last a long, long time.
