Excellent, Kevin came out with his little dog "Riley" and 2 men. The trees were all marked, the access and conditions were discussed, He left a pile of chips for us to form a path behind our home. He led his 2 men by example in actually doing the work. They came within 2 weeks, did what was discussed very efficiently in one day, and gave me a fair price.

Kevin Martell came by my house to give me a quote for removal of a dead/dying tree and removal of some brush. He said it was an easy job but charges a minimum of $200 so that was the price. When I asked when he could do it, he said "I'll come by some time next week." Fortunately, I work from home but I imagine that that would be a pretty inconvenient answer for most people. When he finally did come by I reminded Kevin that I had the brush to remove. He must have forgotten about that because he told me it would be an additional $20 ($220 total). Not being the confrontational type and still thinking it was fairly reasonable I did not say anything about the agreed upon $200, though in hindsight, I certainly should have. They did a pretty good job of removing the tree; it was quick and they were efficient. When I noticed they were packing up to leave I went out to check their work and a portion of the tree was still there. It was a small (6 inches in diameter) trunk. When I went out and asked him about it, he said that he could not take it because the tree was right on the property line and that trunk was on the neighbor's property. I was outraged and noted that he had said no such thing when he came to give me the quote. He had no answer to that. I told him that I would speak to the neighbor to get permission to take it down and let him know so that he could come back to remove it. Eventually I spoke to the neighbor and got permission to remove it. I called Kevin up to ask him to come by to remove the remaining tree and he told me it would be an additional cost! I told him that it was unacceptable and that I expected him to finish the job for the agreed upon price. He refused. I ended having to rent a chainsaw and finish the job myself.

Kevin is very professional and reasonably priced

They were very professional and helpful.  This was an emergency tree removal, and they did the job almost immediately.  They had to work around a fence, a pool and a house.  There were absolutely no problems and I would highly recommend them for any tree service.  Also, I thought the price was very reasonable.  A++++
