He dug a shallow hole at a random location in my back yard and proclaimed my leach field to be failed and in need of replacement. A fully qualified septic inspector was retained and found the system to be functioning satisfactorily. The hole that was dug by the bogus inspector was over 40 feet from any part of my septic system. After being contacted and informed of the facts this individual refused to reconsider any part of his report. Replacing the field would have cost many thousands of dollars and was totally unnecessary so the sale was not completed costing my wife and myself much grief as well as additional costs. This person is known in real estate circles as "The kiss of death" and should be avoided at all cost.
