This man is a scammer! Sheldon misdiagnosed my problem without actually viewing it in person, installed a new tub faucet without checking that this would solve the problem, and then blamed me for the whole process. I was losing pressure in my shower when I pulled up the tab to go from faucet to shower head, about half the time. I told him over the phone and he immediately said it's the diverter, you need a new faucet. No doubt or hesitation, no "let me come check it out but it's probably this." When he installed the new faucet, he checked that it ran good pressure out the shower and it did. But when I went to actually take a shower later on, I had the same problem as before, lost pressure. I called Sheldon and he had me try some things that didn't help, so he came back over to reassess. Now remember, the problem only happens intermittently. You'll pull the tab and get crappy water pressure, and then push it down and pull it back up again and get great water pressure. So when Sheldon came over and saw this, he said "That's weird." Then he said "It's probably a problem with you shower head." At that point I said, "Sheldon, that's pretty disappointing, I just paid you for a new faucet because you said that was what I needed, now you tell me it's the shower head." He said to me, "Well you should have had me look at the problem when I came over." So I said, "You seemed sure you knew what was wrong with it. I think that's your responsibility to check if that would make a difference." And at that point he said, "Well you told me over the phone that it was a bad diverter. You said the diverter was bad." You guys, I have no idea what a diverter is. I'm a nurse, not a plumber. "Sheldon, I'm sure I didn't say that, I don't know what that is. I just described the problem to you." This is when things get really wild. He goes back to the tub and runs it again, runs it up to the shower, and says, "There's no problem, the pressure is fine." Two minutes ago he was telling me the problem was the shower head, now he's uncomfortable so he's denying a problem exists. We spent five minutes in that bathroom, my boyfriend and me and Sheldon, running the water back and forth between tub and shower head, my boyfriend and I being like, "OK now the pressure's ok... OK now! Now it's crappy again!" Because it's only half the time. And the man looks us in the eyes and pretends that he can't tell the difference between the two levels of water pressure. He came in, acknowledged the problem and suggested a different fix (the shower head), blamed me for misdiagnosing the problem, and then tried to pretend there was no problem at all. It's like full shower, and then dribble, and he's like, "Nope, no difference, totally fine. Everything works great." Some people do better work than others, some people don't clean up after themselves, but I have NEVER had an experience like that. I think I got scammed. I considered putting a stop payment on my check to him, but he DID service the furnace, and he DID replace the faucet (even tho I apparently didn't need it). Ugh, just a terrible experience. Do not hire.

I was happy. I had to wait for the appointment, but he was right there on time, early, and accommodating. I will call Sheldon every year now.

He's a great plumber. They are great guys. It's a small family business. I don't know what he charges for an hour but it's much cheaper that everybody else. They are very punctual. They have good communication and they are prompt. I had frozen pipes this winter and he told me what to do. He said he can come out and charge me a service call but I can do what he would do if he came out for a service call and I could call him if anything happens and he'll be here in half an hour. Not too many plumbers would do that, they would come out and charge me so that's why I think they are so good. He is not going to just come out and cost me a few bucks so I think that's sort of unusual. He asked me to call him if one of the pipes burst and he would tell me how to solve it myself and that I should just let him know if I need his help. I think he is probably one of the least expensive plumbers. I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend them to other members.

Sheldon's Plumbing has been working in the space above our retail space for some time. On Saturday, June 15, 2013 we
opened our shop to find a section of the ceiling collapsed onto the floor and the merchandise below. We were unable to contact the landlord so we contacted Sheldon's Plumbing. They responded, went upstairs for 45 minutes, and
then walked into our store, did not say a word, went over to the damaged area and began taking pictures. They would not respond to our repeated questions about what had happened and did not clean up the mess on the floor, walls and ceiling, so they were asked to leave. The landlord disclaims any responsibility and says it was a manufacturer defect in a part, and did not
provide any indication of what part or who the manufacturer is. We are being held responsible for repairing the damaged ceiling and are stuck with over $4,000 of damaged merchandise.
I would strongly recommend that you not use Sheldon's Plumbing based on their response to our terrible experience.

They are great. There was a problem with my heating unit but it was a plumbing problem. They have done some other plumbing work for me. I haven't used them very often but they are very good and reliable. They are reasonable and in line with everybody else. Their price is standard for anybody in this area.

To clean two oil furnaces. It turned out that one furnace had a broken control switch and they replaced it. They ( Sheldon and Assistant) left to get the new piece and after installing it still didn't work so, it took them time to troubleshoot the issue. Turned out the new piece was broken so, Sheldon ordered another new piece and returned the next day to install it. What was only going to cost $300... doubled. But, they did do a thorough job and the furnaces are working fine.

He had a pretty simple, creative solution that saved us money. The work that he has done for us has been good. I talked to him last fall about getting some work done and he kept saying that he would call me back but he never phoned me back. This has been going on now for several months and I never did really hear back from him and that kind of concerns me. He is really good at doing the day-to-day plumbing but I just don't know whether he is up for the larger remodeling jobs. We had used him as a plumber for fixing things around the house and he had bailed us out a few times. We were going to redo our bathroom and wanted to know if he wanted to be part of that project and that is kind of where the bottom fell out. I think that they are good for routine plumbing work and furnace work but I just can't say anything other than that. They are responsible and trustworthy, which is important. We have had nothing but good experiences with them. We went on a trip to Washington D.C. a couple of summers ago, and on the way out, we noticed some water under our furnace. I phoned Charles, who is one of the proprietors, and he took care of it while we were away. We told him where the key was and we were gone for two weeks, and everything was just the way we had left it when we came back except that there was no more water. They are very fair in their prices. I would definitely use them again for the type of work they have done for me but I wouldn't probably consider them for large job.

I have used him three times. He was recommended by our local school corporation. I would recommend him. I will use him again in the future.

I haven't decided if I am going to do the work. They showed up on time and provided the quote fairly quickly.

When our regular plumber was too busy to help us, friends suggested we contact Sheldon's, and we are so glad we did! Charles is awesome to work with, and is incredibly responsive, provides super fast service, and does quality work. Just a super nice guy who always found time to squeeze us in as our project progressed. If he wasn't happy with something, he worked on it until it met his standards, including fixing some plumbing I had done previously (but not well!). Sheldon's is big enough to take on commercial boilers, but small enough to still be your neighborhood plumber. A+ experience, every time.

Sheldon and Christian arrived on time. Service work (burner cleaning and replacement of a faulty transformer and a smoke pipe plug) was done professionally and amicably and (in my opinion) at a fair and reasonable total cost. I had been quoted $150 for the cleaning. The final cost included $100 for parts plus $20 for labor to install those parts.
