"[Member Name Removed], We truly appreciate hearing about your experience with Berlin City Honda. Thank you for posting to Angie's List."
The phone call was made on 3/9/15 and I was told that the parts needed to be ordered and that I could make an appointment for a week later. They took all of my personal information, VIN, and the recall numbers so that the parts could be ordered.
I received an email reminding me of my service appointment, it confirmed the date and time.
I arrived on 3/16/15 for my appointment and was told that only one of the recall parts was in and that we would have to wait on the other one. I was told that the girl who made the appointment for me should have known and that they could handle one. They took the car back and performed the single recall part replacement and the oil change.
He again took all of my personal information and VIN even though all of that information was given when the appointment was initially made.
While I was there, their Quality Assurance person spoke with me and she seemed nice. She stated that she would contact me after my appointment for feedback but I have never heard from her. Before I left I was handed a list of repairs that needed done to the vehicle.
I received a follow up call 3/20/15 asking why I had missed my service appointment with the suggestion that I should reschedule my service with them.
Supposedly they will call me when the second part comes in but I don't think that will happen since clearly I don't really exist in their system although I do have a receipt from the transaction.
This dealership has several customer service strikes against my returning to them for a visit:
#1 the error in my service appointment accomplishing all that I needed it to accomplish in one visit. I wouldn't have bothered bringing it in until I could have handled it all in one visit had I known.
#2 taking all of my information a second time when I arrived. Why do you make clients repeat themselves?
#3 stating that they would follow up with me to see how my visit went but never doing so
#4 calling to find out why I missed my appointment although I was there. Talk about a way to rub it in even more that this was a bad choice of a dealership to go to. It is great to know that I was invisible and didn't count.
Unfortunately based on the dealings with the service department I will not be purchasing our new Honda from this location.

"[removed member name, Thank you for giving such great feedback on your recent shopping experience with Berlin City Honda. We truely appreciate knowing how we are doing. We do this every day, you don't, so hearing what you thought of the car buying process is very refreshing. All the best and enjoy the new vehicle. Michael McPherson Director Customer Relations Berlin City Honda"
I was busy the next day, so didn't bring it in until Thursday 8/1. I had realized by this time that the black interior made me nervous because I couldn't see anything in the back seat. I explained my concern and Bill said no problem, that was what the 4 day return was for. We found a Twilight Blue with light gray interior. The prepped it and had it ready for me that night. We resigned the papers, added an extended painted protection because it was a deal and drove out with our new new CR-V.
Bill Waldron was always friendly during this process and never made me feel like I was causing him any inconvenience. Everyone we dealt with from the dealer ship and financing was friendly and helpful.
We haven't had service yet but I expect it to be as good as the sales.
I think people have to do their research when buying a car. Use Kelly Blue Book to determine the value of you car and the Fair Market Price of the car you are buying. If you do better, good for you. If you don't get what you want and know it is reasonable, go somewhere else. I always expect to negotiate with car dealers. They want to make money and I want to save money.
All things considered, I am very happy with Berlin City Honda Sales department.
