+ -1 moreSundog Solar misrepresented the capabilities of the Daikin heat pump system they sold and installed for us. We were promised a system capable of serving as our primary heating source in Maine winters, with the flexibility to add a third indoor unit later. Instead, we got a 24k BTU system that maxes out with two heads, struggles in the cold, and was falsely advertised as higher-capacity in their own proposal. When we raised concerns, they claimed it was a “typo” and refused to take accountability. Complaints have been filed with the AG, BBB, FTC, and Daikin. I strongly recommend others look elsewhere if they expect honesty, technical competence, or follow-through.

+ -1 moreThey did a great job for us years ago, when they were a new company. Flash forward 8 or 10 years, they are too busy to return my phone calls when I call to have a problem with our system fixed. We also want to discuss with them expanding and improving our modest system. I guess we’re just too small for them … despite the fact that they told us all those years ago that they wanted to develop the reputation for the solar company in our area that specializes in off grid systems.
Description of Work: Purchases and installation of a small solar array for our preexisting off-grid system; purchases and installation of charge controller for our pre existing off-grid system.

They provide thoughtful and thorough analysis and advice before making a recommendation on appropriate systems. I have recommended them to others, and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
Description of Work: They installed a solar hydrothermal system on our roof several years ago, which provides about 80% of our hot water. Last summer they installed a pole-mounted solar photovoltaic (electric) system that we expect to provide close to 100% of our electricity.

Description of Work: Sundog Solar helped us update our solar array system so we had more power because they are alternative energy. I used their services last month but they are still going to come out and do some more work for us. It is a big project so it will take a while to complete.
