Response from WIN Home Inspection
"I am sorry you were not pleased with your inspection. I wish you would have called me at some point in the last 10 yrs? I am nearing 5000 inspections in my 16yr career. At the end of every inspection I encourage all of my clients to call me if any issue arises. Information in your report: Regarding roof - I noted that your shed roof over the bathroom needed replacement, house roof 20 yrs old and satisfactory, I noted one plumbing leak at the toilet O-ring, the plumbing was copper. The home had 60 amp fuses, knob and tube wiring which I recommended replacement, GFI outlets were needed, Bonding of metal components in the home was also recommended, Windows were single pane with storms needing glazing and glass work, sash cord and sash lock repairs, I don't always recommend new windows due to the payback on energy savings typically being many years. your hot air furnace was only 10 yrs old, ductwork repairs were needed, filter changing was also needed. siding was vinyl and cedar clapboard needing painting, I recommended replacement of the basement windows and door. For all who have issues with your home inspector, please call him/her first to resolve any issues you may have."

He was great- he got here early and reviewed the yard and exterior- once he came inside he explained everything to me and asked me to follow him around the house- he explained the furnace to me and helped me to understand features of my home. He brought me up to the crawl space to show me what to look for. Overall he was very knowledgabe and extremely friendly. The inspection report showed up in the mail less than a week later which has a great deal of information and detail. I would definitely reccommend him to anyone!

My husband and I were very pleased with the home inspection performed by Gary Daigneault.
We are first time home buyers and obviously had not been through a full inspection previously and numerous question arose. Gary didn't hesitate to share everything that he was reviewing and providing us with the knowledge base needed to understand the impact as part of the home inspection.
Gary's inspection was incredibly thorough, he spent 3 to 3.5 hours with us. It was really helpful to have him share his knowledge of everything from external structure, to heating, to the full review of our circuit breaker.
extremely also seems to really enjoy what he does, which is extremely important.
We got a full review via email within 12 hours, with everything written down that he went over with us. This report was followed up with a full binder outlining everything that was detailed in the inspection report, along with a full expected maintenance schedule.
He was on time, he was early actually, and he was already checking out all of the outside, he started off giving us the run-down of what process he would be following and what we should expect from him.
I thought it was great, we love the house and we really enjoyed him going over it with a fine toothed comb with us.
I think the price for the inspection was reasonable, we spent just under $700 with Gary, along with a $250 fee for the septic inspection (handled by another contractor, but setup through Gary). This was definitely money well spent.
I would not hesitate to contact Gary with your inspection needs.
