Mr. Purvis is an excellent contractor quick and clean quote, didn't push for anything and was open and honest on his opinion for other work. Booked three weeks out and ended up contacting me to see if coming 2 weeks early would be okay, which was of course great! The job was to remove three layers of shingles, old ice guard and install new asphault shingles and a new ice shield. All said in done in one day, cleanup was excellent. My wife even said when we got back after they were wrapping up that it looked like no one was even there aside from the nice new roof! Would definitely recommend them for their honesty, quality work, and professionalism.

It went absolutely flawless they showed up @ 7:15 and worked til completed at 7 at night they kept at all day and cleaned up before they left. They came up 2 bundles of shingles short and and a few caps short but came back they next day and had about an hour of work to finish but roof was weather tight when they left. Purvis Roofing was $3000 cheaper than anyone else. I would highly recommend.

I was in need of roofing services ASAP. Shawn and his crew had replaced the shingles on my home in Sanford last year in 2016. Given the professional work rendered in 2016, it was a no-brainer to seek them out again in 2017. Within 3 days of calling them and meeting with Shawn on site, his crew was on-site bright and early. They finished the 18+ square job in one day. This job included replacing the shingles on the main building, two attached porch roofs and a basement entrance. I was most impressed with the clean up after the job. I have not found a single as of this writing. I would recommend Shawn and his crew anytime, any place for a quality job done correctly.

They were responsive. I think it was 3 people that did the work. All were professional and did a good job, no complaints there. It took about half a day for work to be complete. .

Excellent, they are a wonderful company to work with. They work very efficiently and are respectful of homeowner and property. They were always on time and they work very hard to get the job done properly. They are fair in pricing and pay attention to all the details so the finished work is amazing. The job itself seemed ok, Shawn was not part of the work, he sent four guys out. The problems came when I noticed part of the new roof seemed to have "shifted" after an ice storm approximately 120 days after job completion. Although he has a 10 year labor and 40 year warranty on materials he flatly refuses to look at it. When pressed about the warranty he becomes VERY angry VERY quickly. HORRIBLE follow thru and HORRIBLE professionalism. After deeper research this is a trend as far back as 2010 with multiple customers. Lesson learned is deeper research needed to avoid shady contractors.

Excellence, Quality, Efficiency, Professionalism are what you can expect from Shawn Purvis. From the original appointment, he was right on time, had great offerings with tradeoffs. He has a range of shingles and is a provider of quality shingles for which there are few qualified dealers in this area. He was pushing nothing and was offering degrees of product and services, always starting with the low cost options that fit the job. In my case, entire roof replacement and the higher end shingles were appropriate. Quality and endurance were the prime metrics for me and I looked for and got something in the middle price range. Shawn will tell you the pluses and minuses of the materials according to what you want done. Customization is where he's at his best to get you right color combination and aesthetic look you'd want in real quality work. This job was scheduled at a convenient time for me well in advance and two days before he informed me when they would arrive. His entire crew showed up right on time and got right to it. This is a highly experienced crew, some going back with him for 15 years. They work at high speed and deliver a real quality result. 97% of the job was done on the first day. The area was cleaned up completely. The final pricing had none of those "last minute adjustments or surprises" and the job was done exactly as quoted. If you're in the Southern Maine area, call Shawn Purvis, you'll like the result.

My husband is a former quality manager, and he expects nothing but the best from contractors we use. They arrived on time and on date promised. They sent a large crew who tackled a very old Dutch colonial roof and managed to get the back side done the first day. They finished the entire roof the next day. The crew was efficient and worked very well together. There were sections that needed plywood sheets that we knew about before the job started. When they were at the point of install, the crew foreman asked for another verbal ok. Shawn was onsite checking progress and satisfaction both days. The result was a quality installed roof that we are very pleased with, and one that people stop and admire. We requested a non smoking crew on site for our and the neighbor's property. Other than one slip that was corrected immediately and apologized for, we had no problems with that request. The crew was somewhat boisterous but very polite and hard working. The gutters were done the next day which are seamless. They too look great.

Terrific - Shawn was punctual for the appointment to price the job and provided his price plus provide samples of the architectural shingles used to price the job. He not only provided the best price, but also was able to commit to meet a tight schedule using a shingle that ranked highest in quality when I googled product optioins. Purvis delivered the project on budget, 10 days ahead of schedule. In addition, he was able to address an item after the work was done in a very timely and professional manner. Awesome performance!!

Shawn came out to my house within a day of my phone call to quote my job out. He was extremely polite, professional, and reasonable. He and his crew replaced a section of my roof, metal flashed my house, and installed gutters. The work was top notch. I will definitely be giving Purvis a call again when I need roof work done again!!

I was really pleased with Purvis. Shawn came out in person to do the estimate, and it means a lot to me to put a face with a contractor. He is very polite and professional. He said it would be about 5-6 weeks before his crew could start the job, and that was exactly how long it took. The job did not cost a cent over the estimate. His crew is large (about 9 guys) and they worked like their hair was on fire- no slackers in this bunch. They did our entire roof in one day, and did a nice job cleaning up afterwards. The roof looks great. I'm happy to recommend Purvis to anyone who needs a new roof.

Iin about 3 hours, Shawn's crew had completed my roof repairs and even repaired some other spots they thought may be future trouble. I was very happy. They were efficient, polite, and clean and made quality repairs quickly and thoroughly. EXCELLENT WORK!!!

The owner was professional and punctual;  provided a quote the at the time of visit.  
Provided samples of materials to be used. explained what was included in the quote clearly.  
Returned calls promptly.
Made sure to check in to be sure I was happy with the progress of the project 
All work was done very well.  
The project was completed quickly and the crew did a good job cleaning up (important for roofing jobs).  
They did what they said they were going to do; efficiently and within the price estimate- That's what it's all about.

Shawn and his crew did a remarkable job in just 2 days on a gambrel roof with 4 dormers and an oversized garage.  The house and garage look fantastic.  Shawn was prompt in giving us an estimate that was 25% less than the next closest bid.  His crew and he arrived when they said they would and worked as a team.  They were meticulous about cleanup each day.  I have an in home business, so was here most of the time they were working.  They are hard workers, very polite, and professional.  I had a client coming the last day they were here- they left around 5 and my client came at 6.  No one could tell that we had just had a major job completed except for the beautiful new roof.  Everything was picked up and the yard looked great.  I have extensive gardens around the house and they did a great job of protecting my plants. Working with Shawn was great. He was responsive and dependable: his crew polite and knowledgable. The roof was completed in two days just as he promised, and it looks fantastic. Clean up was done every day. They also rectified a problem where the garage meets my dining room, and had been an issue over the years. Everything was done on time and done well. Absolutely no headaches or undue concerns- the hallmark of a trustworthy business.
