Dave was polite, on time, helpful. He is quite knowledgeable on sump pumps and floor drainage systems and made some great suggestions which we will follow up on. I would recommend and use him again.

I highly recommend Southern Maine Sewer & Drain!  I called in the morning in hopes of finding someone who could help us determine the cause of our basement flooding and fix it.  Dave Jordan, the owner, was very helpful and responsive.  He was on a job site when I called, but said he could be at our house in a few hours.  We scheduled a time and when he was going to be a few minutes late, he called to let me know (very courteous!).  Our drainage system is somewhat unique and Dave carefully considered all the details and proposed a high pressure jet.  He quoted the set price for the service and, although we understood it might not be able to fix the problem (because the underground pipe could have been broken), we agreed it was worth a try.  He needed to return to his shop to get the equipment and agreed to come back that same day at a time that was convenient for me.  Thanks to his expertise and patience, he was able to bust through an iron sludge blockage and the water started to flow out immediately.  Such a relief.  It took Dave about an hour to work the whole line.  I needed to leave before he was finished and when I returned, Dave had left the hose (we had used to pump the basement) neatly wound - he even thought to unplug the pump so it didn't burn out.  He was very polite and shared in my joy at the success of the jetting.  We plan to have Dave preemptively jet the pipe every year to prevent a recurrence of the backup.
Definitely call Dave if you need/have: snaking, televising, high pressure jetting, plugged toilets, slow draining sinks, or any other drain issues.
