I would not use the Saco office of Service Master again for these reasons. 1) At the end of the drying period, they assured me all the moisture was gone and there was no damage under the vanities and didn't pull them out until I insisted they do so. When the vanity was removed in the guest bathroom, there was indeed moisture underneath. Had I not insisted on this, that flooring would have remained wet. 2) They then removed the vanity in the Master Bath on the other side of the wall and the vanity fell apart when they took it out. We then had to replace vanities in both bathrooms so they match. 3) When they cut the hold in the sheetrock in the downstairs ceiling, they damaged the wall in two places, so we needed to have that reparied and then paint the living room and the entire downstairs hallways. Had they not cut the sheetrock so close to the wall, this would not have happened. 4) There continues to be a musty odor in the guest bathroom which had the water leak. I engaged the services of Octagon who will now actually put a camera behind the wall and the area directly beneath the molding to determine if moisture still exists. There may not be, but I question why ServiceMaster would not have used the same equipment to check. Their answer to the question does mold existing in the ceiling was to climb on a ladder and put their heads in the hole and take a look in the immediate area. I'm not sure that was sufficient as there are beams that prevented them from looking all the way down the side where the sheet rock seems had buckled. They also did not send a probe down in the space between the molding and the subfloor, which clearly was a perfect spot for water to seap through, particularly as that was the exacty area of the leak. Financially, we were fine as State Farm covered everything, however, it is July 8, and we still have no vanities in the bathrooms and now have a potential problem in the guest bathroom. My opinion is that they did not do a thorough job in assessing the damage nor did they exercise the right care in fixing the damage done by the water. In Service Master's defense, they said there was no way to save the vanity in the Master Bath when they removed it. Not being an expert in that field, I have no way of knowing if that is in fact the case. Regardless, I informed State Farm they are not welcome back in my home.
