We provide electrical solutions for residential and commercial properties across Southern Maine. Our team of Master Electricians are fully licensed and insured. We service the greater Portland and Southern Maine, such as Kennebunk, Wells, Saco, Biddeford, Scarborough and more. Our goal is to provide not only technical expertise, but responsive, experienced customer service. Our professionals are all fully licensed and experienced in maintenance, installation, and repair services. We appreciate our clients and are dedicated to using our knowledge of electrical work, planning, and customer service to complete each project successfully and on schedule. We are prepared to diagnose any electrical problem you’re facing and resolve it. We offer electrical contracting, wiring, installation, service upgrades, fixture installation, and more. Our specialties include ductless mini splits / heat pump installation (we are an official MRCOOL partner), EV charger installation, and much more.

We bought an old house that needed some upgrades and Downeast was great from start to finish. I wanted some minisplits put in for better heating and ac, and they gave me different options that kept my budget and what I wanted in mind. They also did my service upgrade and were completely professional through the whole process. I ended up with some MRCOOL units that worked really well this winter. They've been great to work with.

Downeast Electric is a very responsive and professional company. The advertised prices are fair, if not a bit above average but what you see is what you get. There was no hidden fees and the process was so professional. Would recommend. They changed a panel and installed my light fixture.

We helped one of our clients with their CAD designs on their new home and worked with Downeast Electrical to help the client with management of the electrical plan, rough in, and wiring for all the new electric the home needed. Being a new home, a EV charger was also top priority and they were able to get everything they needed for it and install it quickly, without the headache of having to wait around for parts. They were extremely professional from the customer service side to the skillset of the electricians, and clearly very experienced. There were many times in the process that showed how they are able to solve and manage problems that came up that both we and the client appreciated. One of their master electricians has been working for over 20 years in the trade and it is apparent he knows the ins and outs of electrical work by how he approaches a problem. We hope to work with them again, they were easy to coordinate with, everyone was very happy with the end results.
