First off I'd like to say that my experience with Domestiks was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. This was my first experience with Angie's list and am pleased to report on how well it went. I can hardly describe the dirty carpets, dust and cobwebs they started out with, but now that they are done it is a place I am so looking forward to moving into!

I first called Domestiks just before Christmas to schedule the cleaning of the home I was planning to move into after the new year. John came out at my convenience to give me an estimate for the cleaning. Everything was all set up when some unforeseen circumstances came up with the house and I had to postpone the cleaning, twice! John and his staff were very gracious about the postponement and assured me they would be available when I could move forward. Even though I called just the day before they were scheduled to come out, there were no additional charges for rescheduling.

It took over a week before I could reschedule, but when I did, we set the perfect date for them to come out. John came out with two of his employees, another came later to clean the carpets. They arrived a little early and got to work right away. John called me to let me know it was going to take a little longer than he expected that morning (but not longer than the initial estimate) and later when they were done, Amelia called to let me know.

When I went back to the house to walk through, the place was sparkling. The house is older and maybe you can't make old wall paper look new again, but they certainly did the next best thing! The light fixtures that were covered in dust and cobwebs were sparkling clean and actually looked brand new. Blinds that were caked with dust were nice and clean and I'm no longer worried about putting food away in the kitchen and letting my grandchildren play on the carpets.

The estimate that I was initially given was right on the money, no surprises. I am planning on hiring them again to clean the apartment that I am vacating

The price was fair (and the final price was exactly what was quoted), especially given the amount of time it would eventually take to finish the job, and the work was done quite soon after the agreement was struck. Our old house looked new again in the inside, and the carpet was beautiful. The staff was friendly, and the whole experience was pleasant. We'll use them again!

I first met with the owner, John, on Sat. 5/14/11 and he gave me a free estimate of between $220 and $300 for all the cleaning that I mentioned above. I agreed to have his company do the cleaning for me and they came back the following week and completed the work on 5/20/11. John and I met one more time on 5/21/11 to do a walk through to make sure I was happy with the cleaning that was done. As I walked around I thought of the before and after condition of the apartment. I was very content with the quality of the job and I think the price for the work done was very competitive. Thanks to John and his crew I was able to advertise the vacant apartment for rent soon after the walk through. I would definitely hire Domestiks Cleaning for future projects as they did a great job.

The experience was very positive. They came out to give us an estimate by going room to room. They gave us a very detailed estimate and did a very good job on the cleaning and carpets. I thought they gave us a low estimate and I questioned if it would take longer than what they estimated. It turned out that they held true to their estimate in both time and price. I thought it was a really good value for the price. I thought they handled themselves very well, my mom has also used them too.
