HUB FURNITURE CO

Description of Work: We were looking for new bedroom furniture. We wanted something decent, not extravagant, at a reasonable price. We checked out the larger furniture stores and didn't see anything we liked so we decided to "Buy Local" and went to Hub in March. We saw a set that we liked and ordered it. It took about a month to arrive. Upon delivery and set up we noticed that the sides of nearly all the drawers were split/broken where the drawer slide attached. There were also scratches on a couple of pieces. The delivery man took photos and called the store. We were told they would order replacements. I had heard from a sales rep from the manufacturer and was told that the next shipment would be personally inspected before being shipped.About a month went by, another delivery and more split/broken drawers - although we managed to get enough drawers to get one piece in fairly decent shape. More photos and calls. Another month or so, another delivery, more split/broken drawers. HUB said there would be another delivery in July. I asked at what point do we just say "Forget it" and get a refund. I was told "never". Incredibly I was also told that it was a good thing I was dealing with a reputable firm like Hub because another company would have stopped trying to help long ago. Eventually we got a full set of functioning furniture in mid August- 5 months from the start. |Hub ultimately did make it right but if that is the quality of merchandise they get from their vendors you're better off paying more somewhere else.

Description of Work: The furniture was extremely shoddy and I took Hub furniture to court.
