Service was excellent. Response was very quick--next day after calling. Serviceman pointed out that the incorrect clean out apparently had been used in the past and was willing to locate and uncover the correct one at no extra charge. Work performed was thorough and clean.

Terrific. Septic cover was far too deep, but they found it with a high tech sensor and dug it out. Great job under difficult conditions.

Ed knows his business, provided excellent services, and left the ground he needed to dig up smoother than it was before he came. His charges ($330 for the pump out, $285 for the purchase and installation of two risers) were very fair. We'll call him again when our septic tank needs servicing.

Yesterday morning 5/20/15, I went on Angies List and found Ed Skillin's company for septic tank cleaning. My husband and I have owned a summer cottage in Phippsburg for a couple of years and had no idea about the septic system except that it was a concrete tank and had last been cleaned out in 2010. Yesterday afternoon, Mike from Ed Skillin Inc called and said he could come do the clean out this morning at 8:00 am. Mike called this morning and said he was on his way and arrived at 8:00 as promised. My husband dug out two clean-outs before Mike got here. Mike cleaned out our tank, pulled out troublesome roots, told us about our tank, how often to have it cleaned, offered tips on maintenance, answered all our questions, and found a third clean-out. Mike worked very hard, was courteous and professional and we would definitely recommend Ed Skillin Inc. Thank you, Mike!

Wow! This was almost too easy. Got the text reminder from my wife that I promised to call a guy to come empty our tank. We haven't had this done in years and we didn't remember the last time it was done.
So I called around 10am and had an appointment for noon. Mike called me at 11:15 that he would be at our house in 30mins. He was there exactly at 11:45 ready to go. While he was there, he quickly found the tank lid, dug and cleared it out quickly.
We found ping pong balls, legos, contact lens cases, which I assume was from our previous tenants. I had many questions about how the whole system works and what happens when it doesn't. He gave me tips for treating it after he was done too.
He was driving away with our poop by 12:45. Now I have tons of time to go finish my beer pong game. Thanks Mike and Ed!

Ed Skillin's company was very responsive to our call. They sent a truck out within a couple of hours.  The representative was very courteous and completed the job in a timely manner.  We will definitely use this service in the future and recommend this company to our friends.

This is the second time we have had this company pump our septic.  Each time they have arrived at the time they said they would.  The personnel are professional and knowledgeable.  For this second time they offered us the option of going green by filtering the water and then putting it back into the tank.  This allows them the opportunity to not dump the water in a landfill and let it go back in the water system and ocean.  They did an inspection of the tank after it was drained and made sure everything was working properly.  I would absolutely use these folks again.
