After I moved into the condo in March of 2007, and within the 2-year building warranty period, I experienced several incidents of water in the basement. I notifed the builder and although they would send a project manager to come and observe the standing water, it took over a year and many visits for them to send a foundation contractor who observed space between the outside foundation wall and abutting unit, and who repaired it in a short period of time. Additionally, my kitchen skylight leaked 3 years in a row in the early spring, originating within the 2-year building warranty. The builder never came but passed the problem onto the Condo Association management company. The problem may have finally been fixed this year but next spring will be the proof. The builder never called or came to check out this problem. I have since discovered a 3rd leak around the flashing on a different section of the roof causing water to filter down to an area around the front door. Construction lacked supervision and the builder did not respond in a timely manner to the first complaint and not at all to the second. The third incident of water leakage was discovered after the 2-year warranty and has been fixed by the Condo Association; however, it demonstrates careless work.
