SEAL RIGHT BASEMENTS

Went very well. They started the work 3 weeks after we signed. The two brothers do all the work themselves so there is no issue of understanding how to do the job and do it well. Everything was done as they described and done one day ahead of schedule.

Excellent experience overall. They had one of the more reasonable bids for this job. More importantly these guys seemed to really know what they were doing. Unlike with other companies, it is the same guys who come estimate the job and who actually perform the job. Other companies that we had come look at our basement sent us a salesman (who sometimes didn't seem to know a whole lot about waterproofing and was just giving us the same generic sales pitch they give everyone). The Seal Right guys are very diligent; they will take an individualized approach to your basement water problem. They also guarantee their work. So, if water gets into your basement again after they're done, they will come back and fix it at no extra charge. We had this work done several months ago and have not had water come into the basement since. If you have basement water problems, make sure you have these guys come take a look at the situation before hiring anyone else.

Simon and Brad were very responsive when we called. They came out within a week and gave a very fair estimate for the work. They scheduled the work for two weeks later but had to reschedule twice because they got in a car accident and their workload got pushed back. They finished the work in less than two days; very quick. Our basement was finished, so they had to rip up a lot of tile, remove baseboards and some dry wall when they put in the trench. They don't do repair work so we need to find another firm to do this. They told us this when we signed the contract. Also, their supplier had run out of sump bucket covers so Simon had us go to Home Depot to buy one, but we need to have them back to install it since they have already put in the PVC pipe. They did, however, use our sump pump instead of charging us for another one, so that saved us $150. It hasn't rained heavily yet so we haven't gotten to see how well the system works.
