Johnson's Home Improvements

The project started out well. A new shingle roof was done first. One section over the kitchen , which is flat, needed rolled rubber roofing. It was not done when the rest of the roof was done for some reason. I was told it would bet done before the winter. They went on to do the siding. It appeared to be completed but we were told because of the temp. painting could not begin, which I understood, and we would be the first house on the list come spring. Glenn Johnson was paid all but $1,000. Spring arrived but Glenn did not. To be accurate..he did send his guys over to begin scraping the paint one day. That was the last we saw of him. I emailed repeatedly & called Mr. Johnson. He emailed twice with dates he will be showing up, but he never did, and after this he ignored all communication. In the meantime the kitchen roof developed a leak where he was supposed to install the flat rolled roofing. Finally in early August I sent a certified letter telling him if the work was not completed by the end of the month I would hire a new contractor to complete his work, which I had to do. During the course of completing the work, the new contractor found and fixed several material errors that were overlooked by Mr. Johnson. The final cost to complete the work was an additional $4800. We had to go to court, and reached a settlement, which he has not followed through with.
