They "repaired" the roof, charged us $14,000 cash, and less than a month later the roof was still leaking. Very bad experience, would not recommend.

They were wonderful! I would recommend them to anyone.

Very bad job. They subcontract their work out to others. Roof started failing with-in a year, shingles falling off. They blamed the subcontractors for poor quality but that is not my concern because I paid JP Family, not the subcontractors. I now have a patchwork of different shingles on my roof and shingles fall off throughout the year. They do not respond to complaints and they do not stand behind the work because they subcontact it and sub's can never be found.

I interviewed 3 companies and choose Roof Specialists aka JP and Family Inc. because of good references and fair price. Not the lowest price but not the highest. After work was finished we had leak in bathroom. Company sent roofer in 2 days and he said he fixed it. This went on 3-4 more times. Finally company representative said they would have to do over at my expense. I tried calling the owner for weeks. Never returned my calls. I should have gotten a lawyer. One of the worst purchasing experiences I've had in my 55+ years. I ended up calling another contractor who I paid to re-do and its' been fine ever since.

It was excellent. They were professional. The weather kinda delayed them so it took them long to get the job done but it wasn't unexpected and the day that they came, they worked right through it. I thought that they did a good job, they cleaned up and life has been good.

Called because we had a roof leak and was afraid they would not be able to come since it was Christmas Eve. They came within a couple of hours and fixed it.

He was referred to me, and I referred him to my daughter. They were great. They came and did the work and were clean and tidy. They were punctual and reasonable. I checked around, and their price was very good. They were very professional.

I found them on Service Magic. I liked the quality of the product and the warranty on it. The warranty will still hold good if the service provider goes out of business since CertainTeed will do the repair. He showed up with a good crew and cleaned up after themselves very well. They repaired some damage to a small window screen that happened when they took off the old roofing. I called and left a message about the damaged screen and they came out within a week, took it and repaired it, and returned it. I was a bit concerned about a few shingles that had not flattened out even in December but they eventually flattened themselves out. I met the owner twice and he was a talkative guy. They did the work in one day instead of two and continued working late in the evening till the job was done. The work crew took a couple of small breaks but they all worked and did their job. They weren't inexpensive but that is probably average for this area. They were here the day they said they were going to come. I have not had any issues with roof at all till now. I may want to get my garage roof done in the future and I would certainly ask them to do that work.

They were okay to deal with initially and they did a good job of the roof, until I found that the roof is leaking. It is only less than a year and half that they did, but the work looked nice when they did it. I had to have them come back and do the gutters because it fell off the house a month after they put them on. We spent $10,000 on that work. The only problem I had was with the gutters because it took them a while to get out here and they did an okay job I guess because it hasn’t fallen down since. I called them again this morning after I found that our roof is leaking, so let’s see what happens. They responded timely and promptly took measures to correct the issue.

Crew arrived a day early so landscape wasn't protected. Stripped roof and made comment as to the extremely poor condition of the roof itself but did minimal repairs and did not give me the opportunity to have more repairs done even though I requested it. They just roofed over the missing boards, holes etc. They only used the waterproof membrane on one side of the house so I have had over $1000.00 ice damage since then. The roofing job itself looked good but the flashing was not done properly around the chimney so that had to be redone by another company and damaged fascia boards were not repaired. They damaged the sheet rock inside the finished attic by dropping the bundles of shingles on the roof. Another couple $100 in repairs. They broke the water faucet on the side of the house, did a poor job of clean up and stole a bunch of wide hardwood boards from behind the garage. They did come out during the first ice dam in 2006 and chopped ice but couldn't figure out where the water was leaking in. Since then it has become obvious that there is no membrane on the front or far side of the house. The side of the house by the driveway that I watched them put the membrane on had an 8" deep ice jam in '08-'09 and did not leak at all. The front and far side of the house had leaks where it hadn't leaked before.

With-in a year shingles started to fall off. They used to come out after every big storm or in the spring to replace but have stopped doing that and have stopped returning my calls and e-mails. Shingles keep falling off and am getting water damage inside my house. I'm no expert but i do not believe new roofs should fall apart or leak.

The price was right. The person I dealt with was courteous.

On September 11, 2007 a leak occurred in the family room of our home. I reported it to Roof and Gutter Specialists and spoke with James McKeague. They sent an employee out to inspect it and then declined to pay for any repairs as they said it was the fault of the grout around the chimney. I had my attorney call them and they agreed to un-roof the area around the chimney and re-roof again after the mason completed the re-grouting of the chimney. They did not pay for the water damage or the grouting work. In addition, I have not received the skylight screen or the handle after notifying them in writing on two separate occasions.

The guys at Roof Specialist did a very good job at ripping the old roof and installing the new roof. They were fast (about 3 days) and professional. They also took great care in not letting the old shingles trample the flower beds below. They are insured and provided us with a copy of their certificate of liability insurance before the work began.

Good - work was performed to spec with no surprises. Took awhile to get them here, but that was due to a back ordered part (allegedly).
