Home Building
It has gone beautifully with Dave. He gets the job done in a timely manner and the quality of work is A+. I will hire Dave for all of my carpentry needs.

Home Building
He said he could do it in 3 months but it took over 6. He quit without finishing the job. He did very poor workmanship, uneven floors, badly finished drywall. He said window & door casements weren't included in his contract so I paid for the millwork & then paid him to install it, which was about $10,000 above the contract price. I should have fired him then & hired a different contractor for that but he still owed me other work at that time. Most casements weren't mitered well, several weren't nailed on well & a couple fell right off. He was supposed to install a handicapped stair lift, that was the first thing in the contract. I had the stair lift before he started the job & he measured it before he built the stairs, then quit & left without installing the lift. Before he started the job, I told him I also required a garage. After he put in the stairs, my car would not fit in the garage. I had the same car, 2008 Subaru Legacy sedan, when he started the job and parked in front of the job site while I lived with my daughter during the job. He tore out part of the basement wall & installed a wider garage door & then my small car would fit if I parked at an angle in the garage, an extremely tight fit. I texted him asking when he was going to do the stair lift & he texted back that the job was done. I hired Androscoggin Lift Co. & Reggie Ford installed the lift with a friend he said he'd been working with for many years. They had the lift installed in one day for a very reasonable price. Dave Brown did some remodeling work on the house I owned before I moved in with my daughter. That work seemed fine. I asked him if he wanted the job building the addition to my daughter's home. He wanted the job & said he could do it in 3 months. I believe he got in over his head and ran out of money. I had an inspection on my home done by a qualified home inspector & there are many faults. It is substandard construction.
Response from Anything Goes Construction
"This is a untrue submittal. Please remove from list. She was her own general contractor not me and is blaming me for her short comimg. I was only her carpenter"
