Stone Craft Iconic Concrete-- 643 Main St, Gorham, ME 04038 207.591.7711 -- Scott Chasse I was looking forward to having concrete floors installed in my kitchen and bathroom. Their showroom was nice but feel I was deceived.... After seeing many samples of poured pieces, Scott made me a large sample of what the floor would look like. The samples I was show for each room did not match the final product. For the kitchen- I was accepting of natural color variations associated with concrete products but was surprised to find clear and distinct marks tool marks. I was informed that these were "natural" and that this was acceptable based on the type of cement used....again, not shown in any sample or pictures provided. I paid for an additional $1300+ for a different type of cement but again, clear and distinct rake marks were very visible. Upon contacting the cement manufacture, Stonecraft did not follow the instructions according to the product specs. For the bathroom- The shower floor was to be black cement. Almost immediately, a white moldy substance started to appear. I was told this would dissipate after a few month but 4 months later, it is worse and the cement is beginning to crack. At first, Scott was surprised that I had any complaints but was friendly to work with. After the second pouring, he tried to explain to me that visible tool marks was to be expected....something that others in similar categories said was not acceptable. I researched other cements floors and I can't find anything similar....I am very disappointed and would not recommend this company to anyone.
