Semper-Fi Contracting

About us

Following his service in the Unites States Marine Corps in 1981, Keith Samara established his contracting business; originally Samara New Homes and Renovations. His client base gradually grew through word of mouth advertising as more and more customers became satisified with Keith's high quality work, attention to detail and professionalism. Later, Keith's pride in Corps and country compelled him to rename his business Semper-Fi Contracting. It continues to thrive largely through the praises of his clients past and present. As the name suggests, "Semper-Fi" (an abbreviation of the Latin term "Semper Fidelis" meaning "always faithful" or "always loyal") illustrates the level of commitment Semper-Fi Contracting offers each customer and project. Semper-Fi maintains a staff size appropriate to the size of current projects.

The materials used on the flat portion of the roof was incorrect. Shingles were used when rubber roofing should have been installed. As a result we have got extensive water damage from leaks.

I wasn't pleased with the way it went. The job was started in mid july and was supposed to take 4 to 5 weeks to complete as stated in my contract. They just finished around october 17. When it came time to extend my furnace pipe through the new roof keith told me that he was told by a person working at the place where he was purchasing the pipe that he shouldn't try and do the work himself because he could "kill us" if he did it wrong. Keith advised me to call a chomney sweep he knew to see if he could help me. The chimney sweep was no help because he said he was too busy to go looking for the pipe as he'd never seen one like it before. When i explained this to keith he basically said he didn't know who else to call. (My furnace company didn't know either.) I then got upset and explained to keith that i had kids to worry about and it was getting cold so i'd like some heat. I told him i felt like this had been put off on me and he should have thought about this when he was giving his estimate. He then looked at the furnace and left. A few hours later i came home and he had put the pipe in. He told me he had found a pipe but it was $150 and so he didn't buy it., he made one instead. My question was why suddenly he could figure it out without "killing us". The chimney sweep didn't understand that either. There were many other issued and problems like leaks. I would be happy to further discuss my review if someone called me. 207-595-4124.

Keith is wonderful. He goes above and beyond what you expect of him. There is always such a welcome surprise. His workmanship and supplies were exceptional. I was really happy when he left.
