I called at noon on Friday going into a Holiday weekend. To my surprise and pleasure, they could have someone at my house at 2pm. He showed up on time, identified the cause of the leak and repaired it in a short amount of time.. He was very pleasant and professional. He left leaving behind fittings that no longer leaked - I was thrilled and completely satisfied with the service and work completed. Highly recommend Bob Miles and Sons!

Since it was not a real emergency, I was quite happy to take an appointment eight days out.  They also offered to call if there was a cancellation.  On the morning of the 10:00 appointment, they called about 8 am and said that the 8:00 had cancelled at the last minute.  Roger came at 840. 
One reason I decided not to try this myself is that the retention nuts under the counter were fairly corroded.  Good call.  It took Roger over an hour to remove one of the sets -- and he had the tools and the know how.  I was glad it wasn't me under there.  The job ran a bit longer than we thought it might, so the cost was a bit higher.  In the end, we are quite satisfied and the new faucets look great - and work well, too.

They did exactly what I wanted, put in quality valves and cleaned up some plumbing that was never done right originally. No leaks and no mess.

I was very pleased with the work.  The repair I asked for was more complicated, detailed, and different from what was there before, but I was able the work it out with Rick, the carpenter that came.  My only problem was getting someone to the house. After making the appointment several weeks in advance, the first appointment was delayed a week.  Then, the next appointment was delayed another week.  When someone did arrive, I was not happy. But all was soon forgotten, when Rick did such a splendid job, all in one day.

Their plumber was in and out in less than an hour.  Never even took out his blow torch, just replaced a fitting that had rusted out.  Since he was there, I asked if he could put in a couple of piping supports around the water filter and he was happy to accommodate me.

I wish i had found them years ago. I was so pleased that they have someone who coordinates all the different projects. The quality of the work was excellent. I used another company to install carpeting, and I wish I had known beforehand that they do that too!

Went fine.  Plummer was quiet and not too talkative.

Their ?A? rating on Angie's list is well desired. The person answering the phone and setting up the appointment was friendly and polite. The repairman arrived on time and I would describe him as quiet, efficient, and effective. In an hour and a half, he was gone and everything was perfect.

There was a minor issue with a propane leak from a factory provided connection, and Bob was here in person several times to ensure job was done properly.  He and his team are professional, punctual, and a pleasure to work with.  Helped with the Energy Maine rebate.

I understand that all of the above are what a plumber typically does - but for some reason we've had a very difficult time here in Maine finding anyone who is and quot;PROFESSIONALand quot; or and quot;RELIABLE.and quot; It truly was refreshing to open the door for a plumber that did not knock me out with the marijuana smell so many of them have. I know it's legal and all of that - but when a guy shows up after having smoked reefer in his car the smell really bothers me; plus I don't know how high he is or what he's capable of. With Bob Miles I've never had that problem even remotely. They are always on time (or close to it) and they usually call if they're going to be even a little bit late which is a nice courtesy and if they're here to do something and they see something else that needs tending to - they do it and don't make an issue out of it - or worse, ignore it so you can later say, and quot;how come you didn't do that while you were hereand quot; so they can respond saying and quot;you didn't ask me to do that.and quot; No, no - not with these guys I never have any of those problems - they are very professional. Not perhaps the cheapest - but they are not the most expensive either as I would not refer to them as and quot;gougersand quot; and I kind of figure you've got to pay for what it is that is important which is the professionalism and reliability - once you have that - you just can't do with those fly by night people.

Every aspect of dealing with Bob Miles and his employees was positive. A real person answered the phone, was extremely pleasant and knew what was going on. Bob Miles himself did the estimate. He answered all of my endless questions clearly and with great patience. I received an estimate via email within hours of the site visit. The installers arrived in a timely fashion, did the job, and cleaned up. They were very professional.

Two wks later, the kitchen faucet was leaking again so he came back and replaced the cartridges. No charge. But then a month later, he had to come back again and the entire kitchen faucet needed replacing. We went with the delta faucet he brought with him to save time/money and have had no further problems. Although the delta is a nice faucet, I miss having the spout higher. He charges for travel one way, and is farther away than we thought when we had first called him, but we would call him again. There is a 30day warrantee on labor and parts, and a 1hr minimum for service.

The firm responded quickly to my needs and schedule. The plumber arrived slightly ahead of schedule, performed in a professional manner and was both polite and efficient. Though the technician was unable to actually solve the problem, that resulted from the actual problem being outside the scope of his profession. The cost was exactly what had been told to me at the time of scheduling.

Work was top notch and the clean up was great. Before we had the work done, Mr Miles came to give us an estimate on a list of repairs we were considering, he was prompt and very professional.
