"The company was quick to do an estimate..and prompt in service. Chris and his crew were friendly, polite and did a great job. Gutters look great..hate to ask for rain to see how they perform as we haven t had any since installation..but I m sure Chris is a phone call away if problems arise. All good!"

"The two men were extremely professional. One of the men had a cloth that we was using to wipe down the gutters and the siding as he went along to make sure there were no smudge marks. This was very impressive to us. We certainly would recommend them."

Gutter Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Water should not be dripping behind your gutters. Rain dripping between your gutters and the fascia might indicate that the gutters are misaligned with the fascia board or there are loose screws in the gutters, allowing water to pass through. Start by checking for these issues and make repairs ASAP.

The cost to clean gutters usually ranges from  $120 to $230, depending on the type, length, and location. Seamless gutters usually come in at the lower end of that range since the lack of seams means there are fewer places for debris to build up. In fact, seamless gutter cleanings usually cost 10% to 25% less than sectional gutter cleanings.

You may have a clogged gutter. Downspouts can also clog if your gutter collects too much debris. Hire a professional gutter cleaner, and if you still have problems, install a gutter guard (which prevents debris from entering your gutter system) and a downspout extension (which helps drain water further away from your foundation, so it doesn't pool near your house). Follow these tips to keep your gutter downspouts clean.

If you don't want to install gutter guards, the most common and inexpensive alternative is regular gutter cleaning, either annually, biannually, or as soon as they start to fill up. Using a leaf blower attachment can make this process easier. Other products designed to reduce cleanings include gutter screens (made of wire mesh, nylon, or foam), which are typically less expensive than a full gutter guard installation. You can also find guards and inserts designed specifically to protect your downspouts or opt for a whole gutter system like LeafGuard, which integrates the gutter and guard into a single product.

The best times of year to clean your gutters are typically in the spring and fall. Cleaning in the fall is crucial for removing leaves and debris that have accumulated, which helps prevent clogs. A spring cleaning ensures your gutters are clear and prepared for seasonal rainfall.

As a general guideline, experts recommend cleaning your gutters at least twice a year. However, the optimal frequency depends on several factors, such as local weather patterns, the type of gutters you have, and the number of trees on your property. If your home is surrounded by many large trees or pine trees, you may need to clean your gutters as often as every three to four months. If you have few or no trees nearby, twice a year is likely sufficient. In some cases, you may need to clean them a couple of times during the fall and spring to keep them clear and allow water to flow freely.
