 + -1 moreWe were quoted by the owner-Mike Dionne that he charged $40/hr. to install the tiles and could not give us a time frame as to how long it would take. We agreed to this amount. One worker showed up the first day for 6 hours. 2 workers were here for 6 days, a day consisting of 3-6 hours, including the time spent setting up the saws and equipment and cleanup. One day they didn't show up at all and hadnt bothered to contact me. Total time, 35 1/2 hr. We were handed a bill for 71 1/2 hours, OVER DOUBLE!! Word to the wise ,"never get work done without having a written estimate!
