The entire process of getting the generator installed had its own issues...Mike was very quick to return calls and respond right up until I have him a large deposit. Then it was 4 months of me constantly having to call for updates...the generator was installed in May even though he told me it would be January. The reason Im writing this review now is because a year after I had it installed I called Moriarty to come do a yearly service on it. Scheduled the day/time...and Mike never showed up. I decided then and there Im done with Mike for good and called a new electrician to do the service. He came out and did the service promptly. When he was done we were chatting about the generator and he mentioned to me he serviced another one right down the road Mike installed where the lady paid for a cold weather kit but Mike never installed it. I asked him if I had the kit and NOPE, no cold weather kit. I promptly pulled out the receipt from when Mike had installed my generator and there in black and white is the charge for the generator! I want to be clear - I did not jump on here to post this review right away. I contacted Moriarty SEVERAL times and spoke with Mike himself twice (despite calling/emailing at least 12 times, I only got him on the phone twice...par for the course with him). The first time I spoke with him he said he would refund me the money...about 4-5 weeks went by and nothing. About a week after I spoke to him a second time he sent a PORTION of the money he owes me. Its unfortunate this review is being posted for Moriarty but they took over Mike Seavey and as far as Im concerned they inherited his bad practices as well. I personally feel what they should have done was refund me the amount immediately then gotten the money back from Mike themselves, but they basically told me they're not taking any responsibility for it. Moriarty was very friendly and understanding of the issue, however did nothing at all to correct it. I know Mike Seavey did this to at least one other person and if I had to guess Im sure there are many others...he sells you on this kit that he knows the average person wouldnt know what they're looking for anyway, and just assume its installed. As far as Im concerned its theft, no different than stealing from someones home...to charge you for a product then knowingly not install it. I would highly recommend you NOT call Moriarty for any generator work - Mike Seavey in particular is not to be trusted.

Mark is my "go to" for all things electrical.   I've had them work on various large and small jobs at multiple properties.  His team is professional, and courteous, they do what was expected and keep me informed if anything unexpected is discovered.  On more than one occasion Mark has pointed out issues that needed to be dealt with, in some cases, serious risks that were ultimately fixed by his team.  When on site, if any one of the team has extra time while the others don't need their help,  they take the initiative to tackle smaller tasks on a pre-agreed upon punch list to maximize value and avoid idle time.   The work is always done properly and they don't leave a mess.  I've had a few emergency scenarios and Mark either comes out himself or gets one of his crew onsite ASAP.   It is hard to find reliable contractors and I've never gone wrong with Mark and his crew.

The work done and the electricians were excellent. Polite and courteous and answered all my questions. Just one little communication issue where they hadn't received all the parts and didnt show up on the day they were originally supposed to show. They just had forgotten to call me to let me know. They apologized sincerely and I was good with that!

The owner, Mark, came over to my house to evaluate what the job entailed. He was very professional and courteous. While examining my cellar he quickly pointed out other electrical problems which needed to be changed. Mark was also concerned about us three women trying to handle power outages, such as having to bail out the sump pump, no water, no heat, no toilet, no refrigerator, or stove. He was quick to show me a generator to handle all of our needs and give us peace of mind. I decided to make the investment because Mark explained the whole process in great detail so I could easily understand this addition to my household.

Mark has an incredible team of workers. They all had smiles on their faces the whole time they were working. They worked well together. They were neat and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. The work done in my cellar was unbelievable. The electrical panels and transfer station were like a work of an artist with a fine painting. All the other electric problems were straightened out to provide the much needed safety to my family. I am very happy that I checked out Angie's List and found Mark and his crew.

I would highly recommend Moriarity Electric without hesitation. This was the 2nd electrical job they have contracted on my home. The first was a complete install of new electrical panel and service. VERY prompt, professional, answered all of my questions in lay terms and took the time to describe the process. Not necessarily the least expensive Electrical contractor but if you are looking for someone to respond to your inquiries, adhere to a promised schedule and budget then you should contact Moriarity Electric.
