About us

Concrete is everywhere- it is the material of choice in heavy construction and foundations. It's sheer mass and compressive strength make it one of the most substantial materials ever. But, concrete is prone to cracking from shrinkage and settling. Freeze/thaw cycles, heavy equipment, and blasting can also cause damage. Concrete Prescriptions has the unique ability to repair any resulting defect efficiently and effectively.

Warranties are not real. I had a foundation crack that was repaired by Concrete Prescriptions as a part of the closing on a property. The crack repair failed within the warranty period. I talked to them and setup an appointment to have them look at it. They never showed up and never replied to my repeated texts to setup another appointment. They run away from their warranty work.

Very difficult to get in contact with him. Made an appointment, missed a day of work and he did not show up, no call, nothing. Eventually we chased him down and he re did the failed repair.

The repair leaked this past January. I have been trying to have them repair their repair since January. I received only one response early on asking to schedule in the first week of February. I responded giving a couple of options but have never heard back and have made several other attempts by phone and emails with no response.

I would like to get the repair repaired.

Quote process was fast and easy. Scheduled and completed job within about three weeks. Our basement took on water whenever it rained and there was always standing water underneath bulkhead stairs. The crew added sump pump and repaired foundation to minimize water. While the basement is not 100% dry, it is about 95% drier than it was and there is no longer standing water in bulkhead.
We were taking a bucket a water a day (or more) from de-humidifier and that has gone down by at least half, even in very muggy weather.
The crew was several hours late. Still able to get most of work done in 8 hours, with an hour follow-up the next day.

They do injections for $500 if correct. They were more expensive that the warranty would price was not chosen about it. They put the gutters on that seem to take care of it. It was concrete injection into the wall of the foundation.

It was awful. They did a very good job on the crack itself. However, they made a mess that they didn't clean up. They claimed to have a 10-year guarantee, yet couldn't provide any documentation as to it. They got sort of rude with me over asking for the guarantee. They eventually gave me a receipt that mentioned the guarantee at the bottom. They smoke in their truck, and they brought their smell into my home. I run a daycare out of my home, and some of the parents complained about the smell. They drilled a hole into an adjoining room, which they didn't mention or clean up afterward. They also got very upset with me when I communicated all of these things to them. They also got upset when I called the home inspector who had recommended them to me, because he came out to look at the work and said he would no longer recommend them. I emailed them, offering them opportunities to make it right, but the decided not to cooperate. At least my crack is fixed.

The result is a clean dry basement for the first time in years. We are delighted with the work. Because of a conflict with a prior bid with another place, our work was rescheduled much later.. in October. However when they arrived they worked well and rapidly and finished by the rescheduled time. We were very pleased with the work and cleanup.

Couple of delays in arriving on time, but when Dave arrived he was efficient and I hope effective. Will find out during melt and mud season! Work is guaranteed for 10 years. Cost is a bit high, but so is clean up and damage from water in basement!

I had scheduled to meet David at our house to look at the repairs for an estimate. I was held up at work and called to leave a message I couldn't make it. My wife got home 45 minutes after our appointment and David had waited, very nice, it saved me having to reschedule. The estimate was more than we thought, but we wanted the work done so we went ahead.
The work was completed as described, very professional.
We would recommend his services to anyone.

We looked long and hard for someone to do this job, but could not find anyone willing to do it.  When we called David at Concrete Prescriptions he came right over, and agreed to do it even though it was outside his typical business. He gave us a very reasonable quote and subsequently did the job with professionalism and good humor.

I called Concrete Prescriptions after seeing their reviews on Angie's List.  David Dalessandri returned my call, and was able to stop by to provide an estimate on the same day.  He provided an estimate on the spot, and I scheduled the work for the following week. The crew from Concrete Prescriptions arrived on time and went right to work.  They had to cut out a small portion of the garage floor, put down a new base, and pour cement.  The original plan was to also reconstruct the front lip of the garage floor, but once they got to work, the crew determined that that step was not necessary.  I discussed this change with Mr. Dalessandri, and he agreed to reduce the price, since his crew was not doing as much work as originally planned. After the cement finished setting, Mr.  Dalessandri came by and smoothed out the surface. Overall, I was very happy with the process and the results.

Dave came for an estimate and assessment of our issues.  We needed to call when he did not arrive on time for the estimate, but then was at our house within a few minutes of the phone call.  We were impressed with his knowledge and manner (not a pushy sales person) and his prescription for our issue.  After discussing his assessment with others, and believing we had a very fair price and a good solution, we hired him.  He arrived for the work on time with a helper.  He was very hands on with the helper, supervising constantly, teaching and watching.  The job was done in a morning and was done in an excellent manner.  We were very happy with the end product and it has now been about 12 weeks and the gutter appears to be doing the job intended.
