A & E Factory Service

GE manufactured my microwave oven. I called the number on the back and they got me in contact with A & E Factory Service. I called to get a diagnostic estimate for someone to check my microwave. The gentleman called me on the morning of the appointment. He said, “Do you know this is going to cost $70.” I said that I did. He told me he would be over in about 10-15 minutes. He turned on the microwave and stuck his hand in and said it didn’t get hot. He said I was screwed. He said I would need a magnetron for $220.00. The technician suggested I purchase a service warranty for $250.00. He either wanted me to buy an appliance or warranty but he didn’t want to fix my microwave. I then decided to talk another company and they said they were able to replace a part for under $100.00.

My repairs were covered under the appliance warranty. They responded to my call quickly and the technician was polite and interacted a little with my grandson who was at my house. I will call them again in the future.
