Chad Light

I had to pay in full for him to order the necessary part. Months passed with no word. I called numerous times and each time was given an excuse that the wrong part had been sent and he had re-ordered the correct part. In December I contacted the local appliance store where he had supposedly ordered the part. They confirmed that he had re-ordered and that the actual price of the needed part was $134.00 less than what he had charged me. In late December, Chad Light finally arrived with the correct part and installed it. I asked about my refund and he advised me that he would mail it to me that evening. The 6 months that followed were filled with promises to send the funds, sad tales of being laid off work (Home Depot), excuses that he would borrow the money, tales of his father being ill and needing care - - - on and on. Checking with past employers of Chad Light's to ascertain whether these were legitimate tales of woe, or simply excuses for not reimbursing me I found that he had been fired from Home Depot in Rockland, ME that he had been 'let go' from Agrens Appliance Company in Waldoboro, ME. I am unable to pursue this with the Better Business Bureau because I do not have a mailing address for Chad Light. I have decided not to pursue this in Small Claims Court since filing charges equal the funds I am owed by Chad Light. This posting is done in hopes of saving someone else the annoyance and loss of cash in dealing with this dishonest individual. Avoid hiring Chad Light.
