We Hired Erik 2 weeks ago & our experience has been absolutely horrific. I could write a novel on our experience but I’ll keep it short & stick to relevant information. He does not even file for the proper permits to do the work he claims he can do. My town has already filed a report with the state. He has a long history of this behavior dating back to him moving to Maine from the south where he had another business under a different name. We were extremely lucky to have surveillance in our home & to know our legal rights because not only did he not finish the work & leave us with a huge mess, not to mention more work done than we initially needed… he tried to call CPS & filed a fraudulent report so that it would look like we would be retaliating when we filed for breach of contract. He didn’t stop there. He tried making it look like I was coming on to him & asking for work in exchange for sexual favors when I asked him if he was going to honor his contract. He hasn’t responded to me ever since I let him know I have video surveillance. He did this to a single mom with two special needs kids. Please protect yourself.

We had two baths remodeled. At the end of each day, the cleaning and straightening up was very good. Eric kept us up to date on what the next day or two plans would be. Bath 1 was a complete tear out and replace, bath two we replaced the tub with a show and added to the closet where the original shower had been. Eric furnishes labor and you furnish the "pretty" items like fixtures, tile, towel holders. They used top of the line materials. We did ask for a couple of things, not in the original estimate and ran into a major wiring issue in the 2nd bath redo. We negotiated a price change that day, very fair, and moved on. The wiring was run midway down a wall instead of in the attic or near the ceiling. Caused some major rerouting, we didn't know so it was an understandable cost increase. Eric is an extremely fair person to deal with, he wants the job done right.

Could not be happier with the work Erik and Danny performed at my home. Both of these guys displayed true "pride of craft" and the quality of their work backs up this claim. I would not hesitate to use them again on future projects.

Eric and his team gutted the old tiny bathroom, tore out a wall to increase the space and made me a beautiful new bathroom. They put in insulation, drywall, installed a new window, did the plumbing and electrical, made a great shower stall with tile and a pebble floor. They tiled the rest of the floor, installed the toilet, painted the walls and installed new doors, put up shelves and towel hooks. They have a lot of experience, knew what to do in every situation, made a lot of helpful suggestions and recommendations. Some of the work was difficult because my house was built in the late 40's with lumber from a church that had been blown down in a tornado, nothing is plumb. They were on time, were VERY nice and cleaned up after themselves. They did a good job and I would have them back to do any other work. I highly recommend Sweet Home.

Like the other three jobs we have had Erik and his crew do, it went very well. We have a second house on the property. It is considered a pool house. We had the bathroom redone, had them add a door from the pool into the bathroom. They tore it out, put it back together with a terra-cotta tile. This job included the laundry room adjacent to the bathroom and the small covered patio that leads to the pool. Great job looked wonderful as expected. Great guys.

It went fantastic! Our floors were rotted, and our foundations were compromised. It required jacks because the floor joists were sagging. They took out all the old 1950's tile, and put in a new and elegant shower. They put in drywall and new paint. It is gorgeous! All of this was done at a very reasonable price, and with utmost professionalism. They were prompt and dependable- a lot more so than any contractor we have used in the past. We have other projects that need attention in our home, and it will be Eric Denton and Sweet Home Repairs that will be doing the job!! They are fantastic!

Called several contractors for estimate over the course of a year got 8 estimates. Mr Denton was not the cheapest in fact he was more closer to the top. He seem to know more about the process of what work would be done and was able to describe better than any of the other 7 people who came to bid the work. He was also the only installer of Schluter System that was a certified installed trained by Schluter. He and the other man who did the job where very professional, communicated with my wife and I along the two week project. Ran into a few snags but handled every situation very professional. We are very pleased with our new bathroom and will use them again next year with our master bathroom.

I called several remodeling companies before I decided on these guys. They were very quick to respond and within a month they had us right on schedule. They came in removed our old bathroom, advised us of a few troubles and quickly repaired them. The put our bathroom back together in a timely manner and the job was complete. They were always on time and showed up each scheduled day to work. We barely went over our budget. Both men were very professional and pleasant to deal with.

First of all I want to say I called every contractor on angieslist.com that had a decent rating, I just followed down the list one at a time.
The first one was to far away and only wanted to use his plastic bathroom stuff which I was unimpressed with.
The Second one was so arrogant and uncooperative he only wanted to design it his way and any suggestion I had he made me feel as if I was stupid. After to many days of waiting he finally called me with his excessive price higher than all the others this was with his coupon he offered on here. I don't know how he even has a business.
The fourth one wanted to bring in this person and that person to do things he didn't do and his price was very high almost as high as the second one.
I called Sweet Home Remodeling and spoke with Mr. Denton he was my third call. Answered right away, came to visit me the following Saturday and explained everything he could do with his crew. He excepted my few ideas and said he could work with me on what I liked. I signed the contract and he got started when he said he would. Him and his mean were here every day and in three weeks the bathroom was complete minus the vanity's and counter tops which took a additional week. Mr denton and one of his men returned to hook up the sinks that afternoon after they were installed.
Mr Denton and his crew demolished my old bathroom and closet to the frame. They moved the wall in the bathroom into the huge bedroom, 36 inches to give the bathroom more room. Then used a beam and jacks to level my bedroom and bathroom so there was no more dip in the floor. they installed two layers of plywood on the floor and used a product called Ditra that allowed him to tile on that. The tub was a drop in jet and a sturdy frame was built to secure it and the granite top around it. The shower had a new product called Kirby that was used in it to help water proof the area from cracks, tile went over it as well. The cabinetry work was beautiful and exactly what I envisioned. Glass doors on the shower were installed by Hendrix Glass and what a wonderful job they did.too.
The entire experience was great, my next projects I will use him again.

It went very well, Mr Denton has a very professional crew. They showed up totally gutted the entire bathroom in 4 hours. Then cleaned everything up left for the day. The next morning for 8 days and totally transformed our bathroom. Mr Denton made wonderful suggestions to help make the bathroom in to a beautiful place. we would use Mr. Denton again. Thank you again.

Erik, Roger and Danny took 7 working days to build our cabinets they were just beautiful when they were done. These mean we're left in our home alone for 3 weeks. Erik had a key to our home and let himself and crew in at will. From hidden security cameras we could watch our home and check the progress. Each of the three men were never anywhere unauthorized in our home ever.

Well, I was referred by lowes tile department to another contractor who never showed up after two missed appointments I gave up on him. While I was in Lowes complaining Erik Denton gave me his card said he would be happy to look at the job and that afternoon he drove down to Hamilton to look at my work. I had a two bathrooms that both had issues and I needed them fixed. Erik remodeled the smaller bathroom and he did such a good job I left him remodel my other one as well. While Erik and his crew were here I was getting TVA to inspect my home on a energy saving program. I then found out Erik also was a TVA contractor and he could install new windows and doors. Which he did and I will get back $500 dollars for my windows and $400 for my doors. Mr Denton is a nice man and wonderful contractor, his crew is just a delight and very professional.

I am a 88 years old widowed woman. I live on a very limited income of social security and a small pension my husband left when he died in March 2013. In May 2013 my hot water tank wouldn't work any longer. I was almost broke due to the funeral cost of burying my husband. I called 6 local plumbers (Crouch Sons Plumbing, Hearn Plumbing Company, Hoyt Lane & Sons Plumbing, Fuller Plumbing, Beck Boys Plumbing and Shoals MPE) hoping one would take the $386,00 that I could afford to pay and replace my hot water tank. Everyone of them gave me a bid of 650 to over a 1000 dollars to replace it. I explained to each one how much I had and why and each one said they just couldn't help me. I went May 2013 thru December 2013 without hot water, I took sponge baths over my sink after I warmed water on my stove.
At Church one Sunday I asked someone if they knew anyone that did hot water tank work, and I was given a card of Sweet Home Repairs. I called them and Eric and Rodger came to my home and after I explained my situation they left for Lowes and returned about a hour later with a hot water tank and installed it. I offered to pay them the 700 dollars I had saved to replace it but Mr. Denton and his worker Rodger refused the payment. I insisted and again they refused but said they would except a bowl of spaghetti and meat balls that I was cooking for dinner guest I was having over that night. I gladly paid them. They thank me for lunch and away they left. I have never gotten to truly thank them but they both are wonderful young men. Please hire them they a wonderful company unlike others I mentioned.
