Doug is the perfect independent auto mechanic. Worked in the dealerships for 20 years, now just doing his own thing for 1/2 the price. He's helped me avoid costly repairs, and has kept my Passat going strong for 220k miles now. He's a bit off the beaten path but SO worth it.
